David Geudelekian, Producer on Ready 2 Rumble Revolution, has claimed that the Wii's much-vaunted control scheme is far from perfect.
"There are a lot of hardware limitations on the Wii, like for example the Z-planing is very difficult - it's the worst and least sensitive motion for the Wii," Geudelekian told Kikizo.
This particular drawback has apparently obliged R2RR developer AKI Corporation to use the Wii remote's accelerometer in some cases rather than its motion-sensing functionality.
Geudelekian later reflected negatively on the Wii's software line-up, commenting that R2RR's mini-game offerings were a far cry from "the waggle-fest mini-games that we're used to on this wonderful piece of hardware".
Hit the jump for Geudelekian's thoughts on the strength of the IP, Revolution's relaxed combo timing and celebrities who really need to get over themselves.
"The first mistake of the game was the fact that players had to be online constantly. A requirement. This has been a single player game for nearly 24 years, and now it's not. The big problem is that the servers the SC functioned on, barely worked." -Play Legit

Maybe motion sensing plus (or whatever its called) will help with wii sports 2 coming out.
big surprise from a first time wii dev.( Boxing revolution doesn't count was button masher) Knowing Motion+ is due out why not include it like High Voltage. 1:1 for boxing would be far better.
"There are a lot of hardware limitations on the Wii, like for example the Z-planing is very difficult - it's the worst and least sensitive motion for the Wii," Geudelekian told Kikizo.
isn't the Z-planning in the Nun chuck? why not let us use 2 wii-motes?
Translation = Our game will be extremely crappy, so we are starting the excuses for why now.
If Nintendo can make a functional boxing game there is no excuse for another company not to be able to do the same.
