IGN: New Conduit Screens

Some new screens were posted on IGN to accomodate the new videos. They showcase huge improvement over the last batch released on October 30, 2008.

much improved since the last bunch. You can tell the lighting and environments have improved and so has the field of depth.

Doppy5603d ago

Looking really good, not as good as a launch 360 title like they said, but good.

Finally looks current gen.

Durffen5604d ago

Are we ever going to get a release date? Or news on the multi-player? High Voltage is just killing me right now. I guess it's a good way to keep me excited for it.

Product5604d ago

Nintendo Power in their next issue is getting the exclusive Multiplayer content including wifi.(wifi is rumored to be in the issue).
Release date is from most sites May.

No one buys a Wii for the graphics. It has to make good use of the motion/pointer controls.

And for f*ck sake, give us some pointer calibration! Zelda TP did it. Why not a FPS? I'm tired of pointing the controller at the floor to shoot an enemy in the middle of the screen. >.<

ChickeyCantor5604d ago

No but the game looking good is a bonus and thats pretty much why most people have the need to bash a Wii because of its graphics.

You can't say it looks like a n64 games or something like that.
It would have been nice if all developers put more effort in stuff like this on the Wii.

Lombax5603d ago

The good (for the Wii) graphics are a nice bonus. However, it wont be a good game if it controls like mush.

The Wii's selling point is the controls. The Wii's weak point (with 3rd party devs) is the controls.

Side Note: Ever notice some of the Wii's best games have no need for the motion controls? Zelda TP, Mario G, SSBB, Mario Kart, Super Paper Mario...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption was one of the very few that got it right.

ChickeyCantor5603d ago

Well the controls are coming off nicely too.
In the videos released 2 days ago you can see the controlls are pretty much done well.

Lombax5603d ago

Is there a vid out there showing the person controlling it? All I've seen so far is screen shots and vids directly from the screen.

Lombax5603d ago

I have seen those vids. I don't see a person holding the controller in the vid. For instance, I don't see some one shaking the nunchuk and performing a melee attack on screen.

However the fact that you can completely remap your controller, "dead zone" and HUD, is simply amazing. I think every game should let you remap the controller buttons however you want.

...but i still have not seen anyone play this game.

ChickeyCantor5603d ago

There is a person from HV playing the game on one show...I just forgot the name...the logo is black and yellow/orange?
With that guy who talks fast and has this weird voice and usually a femal presentator is there too.

bobbylii5603d ago

And the video can be found at gametrailers.com

Oh btw I have played the game at PAX and the controls feel amazing. I own MOH:H2, Metroid, COD:WAW. The controls are better than all of them put together. And the graphics aren't "JUST A BONUS" they are a big part of the game along with controls, multiplayer, and gameplay.

I am tired of people saying Wii games aren't about graphics so just cut the bullSPIT OK?
And FPS is always more enjoyable with great graphics. OH BTW AMAZING GRAPHICS, NICE EFFECTS & DOPE WII CONTROLS would make a game great.
Look perfect Drak N64. GAMEPLAY+GRAPHICS. AMAZING EXPERIENCE.

I don't know this actually looks good to me and I play crysis and quake wars. The normal maps are very impressive for a system that can not do them. The funny thing is each PC game controls differently on the PC due to user settings so I'm not sure what you are getting at? The feel is adjustable and metroid pretty much got it right. I've seen it many times in person and seriously this is the Wii sports for the hardcore. Now the only question I have is how much the motion+ is integrated because I have not seen that demo with the game yet.

Oyeah every thing is customizable and there is limited use of waggle. Seriously when it comes to game stop play it.

On another note these guys are on id level in my book now. This is ultimate resume chest beating stuff right here. They should be very proud no matter what happens.

Seriously we need more real hardcore developer out there. Hell I would even pay for a live service for this game or run my own server if I could!

Splatoon 2 Shows Off What Wii Shooters Should Have Been

There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
