WTF is Alan Wake doing that low in that list, that should easly be top 3 at least!!!

MasFlowKiller5581d ago

it should be right next to heavy rain, both game are set to be very similar

Ace_Shooter5581d ago

maybe because they do not expect Alan Wake to make its debut in 2009

Rikitatsu5581d ago

Bayonetta and madwrold were up there.

Good list.

Why dis5581d ago

NOPE!

One game is an action thriller and is traditional and the other is pre-rendered video made up of QTE.

PirateThom5581d ago

Heavy Rain isn't pre-rendered video, if you'd watched the videos you'd know you have full control of the character with QTE for key action sequences.

If you've never played Indigo Prophecy/Farenheit, you'd know that Quantic Dream know their stuff.

Freak of Nature5580d ago

Some fun good old games on that list.Darksiders and dark void look real promising.Nice mix of genres.

Trine looks like the LBP ( in some ways for 09")....Edge of twilight has me curious.

Alan Wake, holds lots of promise,we shall see just how good it will be soon enough I hope.

Brutal legend looks like a cant miss.

These games and games like GOW3,Uncharted 2,The next Ratchet and Clank game,Killzone 2,and Resident evil 5 make 09' very promising...

Now all I need is some info, anything at all on the next ICO game,Beyond good and evil 2 and the next Jak game...

darthv725580d ago

How can there be a top 10 for 09 when 09 just started? I could see something like this at the end of the year as a recap of the "top 10 new IP's of 2009"

Announcing it now is purely opinionated and lacks fact. Usually you can tell what the top new ip's are based on consumer awareness and sales.

On topic, I am betting some of those games will be big but it is better to wait and see once they are out how they really do.

Is there a top 10 list for 2008 before and after? Be nice to see if predictions matched at the end what they were at the beginning.

Why dis5581d ago

The list will change within a couple of months as they always do.

theusedfake5581d ago

Heavy Rain and Alan Wake should have been
way higher.

cain1415581d ago

Knowing Alan wake it might get pushed back to 2010...

Viewtiful5581d ago

Heavy Rain is going to be junk and we all know it deep down. Alan Wake has a chance though.

The gaming GOD5581d ago

Speak for yourself. I don't have any deep down negativity toward Heavy Rain

AnttiApina5580d ago

Alan Wake has never been pushed back..What was the last time they gave the release date hmm? it has always been "When It's Done".

Every game in this list is going to be awesome!

6 Fun Games Where You Actually Play As The Bad Guy

While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.

Profchaos2d ago

Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.

It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny

Tacoboto2d ago

Armored Core VI?

Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.

Is something big coming soon to branch the story?

banger882d ago

No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).

ChasterMies2d ago

Trevor in GTA 6 is a sadist and psychopath who dabbles in cannibalism. Should be top of the list. These game “news” sites should hire people that know games.

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran811d ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Tacoboto10d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia11d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Chocoburger11d ago

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie11d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

11d ago
Profchaos11d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie11d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh11d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.

EA Sends Classic Titles To Steam

This is a nice collection of classic. EA has opened its vaults and released a series of classic PC games to Steam for the first time ever.

Garethvk51d ago

I wish we had a new Command and Conquer.

Vits50d ago

f you haven't already, consider getting 8-Bit Armies or the new 9-Bit Armies. They're made by some of the same folks from the older C&C, with very similar mechanics; it's just the aesthetics that are completely different.

TheColbertinator50d ago

C&C Red Alert 3 and The Saboteur were two different yet completely unforgettable games to me from a better era of EA.

UltimateOwnage50d ago

Super stoked, excellent pricing too. SteamDeck library+++

Phoenix7650d ago

I loved the Populas games back in the Amiga days. Will have to download these
