Dragon's Dogma 2: A brilliant game in need of technical improvements

Digital Foundry : Dragon's Dogma 2 is a highly anticipated open-world RPG and the most advanced RE Engine title we've seen to date. Beyond the excellent gameplay and concept, this game undeniably looks good, combining high-detail assets with beautiful lighting, but performance concerns are also widespread amongst reviewers and users alike. The Series X performace has bad image quality issues. It's not the console's fault though obviously. But this is why people should wait for a patch or two. Hopefully they'll add the option to turn off motion blur in the future as well. Can't believe they didn't add this at launch. Also should have put a locked 30. Frame rates are not the best on both.

You means to say Xbox has 10 pct. better framerate when gpu bound. And a better solution when 120 fps and VRR is used.

I can see a motion blur microtransaction $2 for the option to turn it off.

1440 60fps mode $5

Locked 30 4k $3

Really fun. Bad framerate issues ( and fuck denuvo). Wait for patches.

Game has some issues tho and its not the GOTY everyone hoped.

Small enemy variety.
Very poor endgame. Its just Caelid with some bosses.
Fun classes like Assassin and Magic Knight gone
One weapon type per class.

Overall its a great game.

It looks great and completely changes how characters and environments look, but obviously tanks performance.
