Insomniac On Spider-Man 2's NG+ Mode: "Still Working On It"

Insomniac has issued an update on Spider-Man 2's long-time-coming New Game+ mode, saying that it's still working on it.

How can a New Game Plus mode take this long?

At the end of the day New Game Plus modes should be included with the game at release.

Yeah, like its not there 1st game it should've been there from the start. Must of scrapped it to later to release game early. Maybe they adding more to it, balancing it out or whatever IDK.

They said the delay is due to the recent leaks but I fail to see how it’s delayed them this much

I feel for them I do but Miles Morales had it in from launch and also had a change time of day feature

Just seems strange, I mean think about it the first game had 3 DLC expansions within the first three months of release while the sequel is struggling to get a New Game Plus out. This was before the Insomniac leak

Depends on the developer´s ambitions.

Starfield and Remant 2´s NG+ for example, might change your new playthrough significantly.

It might be the case here, who knows.

I feel like it has to do with the progression of the game. Maybe having everything from the getgo os breaking the game

Ask yakuza team which is charging 15 dollar for new game plus and none of the reviews mention it... really sad. Some people just want to play on harder difficulty but can only do that as part of ng+. That's what I read online
