I still can't get the building mechanics to work the way I want, it's like ARK with a thin layer of Pokemon over top, I didn't even think I would enjoy this game as much as I do.

I strongly doubt they use AI art, they would have to disclose it as part of Steam's approval process.

Its a good game but yeah right now there is just the pure gameplay of "catch this, enslave that, make more stuff" there doesn't seem to be some end goal or real objective. It kinda gets boring over time

I can see that. I'm interested in what the game will be once they add PVP and PVP pal battles. I'm wondering if the battles will be turn based or realtime? Will you fight in an arena/court or will you have to chase each other over the map? The addition of Raids will be a big change as well.

It doesn't have to be 'good'. As long as massive droves of people come and play it, it will be fine. Yeah it won't become the next fortnite or maybe it will however just disregarding a game because it isn't AAA quality just reeks of gaming journalist arrogance. The game literally has 10x the number of peak concurrent players compared to what Starfield ever had lol. Just shows how big it is.

Enjoy what you enjoy. Me and friends are playing Palworld on our own server. Once we get our fill, we will forget about it and probably play again down the line once there is more content, expansions etc. Having a lot of fun with it.

Building is a big part, it's primarily a survival game at it's core, so you'll be base building and gathering resources, there's a lot of upgrades locked behind the base building (e.g. you need better, and a variety of benches to build better equipment). I've spent more time building and resource hoarding, I could be playing wrong though, I tried the first boss and died after getting her down to less than a quarter of her health.
