If they are serious about bringing something new to the table for each of these fan favorites... count me in. Eternal Champions always seemed like a really ambitious fighter but it just came out at the wrong time. It would be great to get a modern rendition, something in the vein of the new MK or KI games with that level of detail and story driven characters.

I also saw they are registering new trademarks for Outrun and After burner. Hope its good stuff.

Eternal Champions?! Sega is not playing around.

I seriously applaud these guys. They have these classic beloved IPs just laying around doing nothing. Why not update them for the new age but keep the same arcade feel as the originals. Can't wait!

IKR, considering they have so many in development and that some are being made by different devs. I wonder whose behind eternal champion or is a remastered either way its awesome of what they are doing with there library. This is what konami should be doing licensing there library of game around and not just then other companies as well.

Eternal Champions with this graphics it can be an awesome call from Sega, and if they add or keep the bloody dead scenes +1 for this.

Now if they want to sell it to a wider audience they are gonna delete the "bloody scenes" sadly enough

maniacmayhem148d ago

Why would they delete the bloody scenes? Fighting games are already for a select audience and they don't mind blood and gore as MK already proves that.

Please let Otogi 1 and 2 and Gun Valkyrie be next please Sega you have to.

It's about time they got up off their ass and dug out some of their franchises. I'm onboard if they can't make them fun like before. From what I saw on the trailer I'm with it. Especially Jet Set Radio. I was heavily a Sega fan. Even above Nintendo. Sega had an edge that Nintendo lacked. Even though I liked Nintendo franchises from Zelda to Metroid to Mario.

Give me a Remake or sequel to Skies of Arcadia, Phantasy Star 5, work with Treasure in updating Guardian Heroes, make some VR games based on House of the Dead, Virtual Cop and Confidential Mission. Get busy making VF 6. And I still think Last Bronx could have been updated to compete with Soul Calibur with the weapons that was in it.

So much they can do. But I'm much older now and have been waiting forever for them to step up their game. Hurry up. Rise from your grave already.

Ah, so many possibilities, I wonder if that Skies of Arcadia remaster/remake rumor will finally come to fruition? I would love a new Phantasy Star, and VR games of old arcade shooters make perfect sense.

Nintendo of America never planned on bringing Xenoblade to North America despite announcing it at E3

These days Xenoblade is one of Nintendo’s bigger franchises – at least when it comes to RPGs – but that wasn’t always the case. The first entry came out in English more than a year after its Japanese launch, and that was for European fans only.

Would've been yet another whack move on Nintendo. I'm glad they did. It's one of the few games I got the switch for.

Well nintendo if you didn't do that big l

I guess Nintendo forgets how boosting sales numbers work. Why lock a game to a certain region or certain regions? You want sales number then flood the market and release the game in every region.

Review - Heading Out (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Kyle Nicol: "Heading Out combines genres and styles which might sound incompatible at first glance, but did so in a very interesting manner, resulting in a truly unique roguelike experience. I, for one, really liked the presentation as well, with its slick visuals and soundtrack. It’s not entirely perfect, as the driving could have been more polished, and the pop-in glitches really took me out of the experience at times. That being said, it’s a game unlike any other out there, which wlll definitely keep you engaged through a good few runs."
