WTMG's Leo Faria: "In short, Assassin’s Creed Nexus was one of the most impressive surprises of the year. I wasn’t expecting much from it due to Ubisoft’s lack of pre-release promotion, but what I ended up getting instead was a true testament of what the Quest 2 can do, and how to properly adapt a third-person action-adventure series into VR. It’s shorter than your average Assassin’s Creed, but still substantially meaty for a VR game, complete with occasional pseudo-open worlds with extra challenges to discover. Add in excellent visuals, great performances from returning voice actors, and a ton of fanservice, and what you get as a result is a mandatory title for Quest owners, as well as one of the best Assassin’s Creed games to be released in recent years."
Ubisoft just announced its financial results for Q3 of the fiscal year 2023-2024 and confirmed a release window for Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, on top of a lot more information about the performance of its major games.
Duuro says: "With an engrossing fiction anchored in history, challenging puzzles, and movement that feels both grounded and exhilarating, it sets a high bar that will be tough for any follow-ups to surpass. Ubisoft makes the case that VR is ready for blockbuster franchises, and this is one you wouldn't want to skip."
Joshua Limage of The Koalition writes: It was Thanksgiving 2007 when my older brother handed me the first Assassin’s Creed as an early Christmas gift. I still remember putting the disc into my Xbox 360 and having that first experience of scaling buildings and fighting templars.
