Well then.... time to dust off some old titles. Shinobi, Golden Axe, Otogi... plenty more that people have been asking for.

I'd rather play the originals. And I actually do, with my Mega Drive mini consoles.

Knightofelemia216d ago (Edited 216d ago )

Playing on a mini is not playing the originals those are just roms. To play the originals you would need an actual Genesis and an actual copy of the game to be classified as playing the originals. The Genesis mini no different then a SNES mini, PS1 mini, and NES mini. They are no different then an Everdrive under the hood.

@Knightofelemia

OK fine, but they are officially licensed roms of the original games. I also have a Mega Drive, SNES and N64 but they don't play nice with my TV so I don't use them very often, so the next best thing are the mini consoles with their official roms.

BTW I know what mini consoles are, I have most of them. I know they're emulation soc's but I like the fact they're officially licensed with fairly faithful controllers. They're an accessible way to play older games. Of course I also emulate on my steam deck, but the mini consoles feel more authentic.

A modern Shinobi would be fantastic. Mechanics since PS2 have not aged well. Definitely something more fluid (and maybe add some stealth mechanics since we're not getting a new Tenchu any time soon).

Yep Xbox absolutely knocked it out of the park with that stunning show, it was everything a gaming showcase should be, games games and games, well done team Xbox.

CrimsonWing691d 8h ago

It really did. Like I came out of that with the hype for new games I haven’t felt since… well the better years of E3.

monkey6021d 8h ago

It was without a doubt one of the better showcases in years. There was plenty there that excited me. Something has been lacking in years on all platforms

EasilyTheBest1d 6h ago

It was an amazing showcase I loved everything about it. Can't wait to play some of those games.
What's going on. 4 comments & no negatives yet. Wow, what's going on with N4G.

Show was so good, it made me forget about that blue dragon rumor until the next day. Too many games to process.
