WorthPlaying: King of Fighters Collection Review

At the end of the day, The King of Fighters Collection: The Orochi Saga for the PS2 ends up appealing only to those gamers who have no other way of playing the five games included in this compilation. A quirky default control scheme, numerous load screens, and some audio bugs will annoy those looking for arcade-perfect conversions of these games on their PS2s. If you're strong enough to look past the issues mentioned earlier, then this isn't that bad of a purchase.

If you know that these things will bother you to no end, your best bet would be to either find another console that plays these games (such as a Neo Geo or a Japanese Saturn or Dreamcast) or move on toward the other King of Fighters titles released on the system, which are better executed than this game compilation.

Top Ten Videogame Ninjas

Many videogame characters are often thought of as ninjas, regardless of their backstory and the martial arts training it entails. Whittling down the list to those which are actually considered to have studied the art of ninjitsu by their creators, and a few stars bite the dust early on. What you’re left with however, are a distilled series of heroes, villains, middlemen and, in the case of two characters that made it to the final ten listed below, just plain weirdoes.

Ryu should definitely be #1. I've never considered Guy a ninja.

She's awesome. Great costume, great moves.

Also, as far as DOA goes, apart from Ryu (who's obviously nr. 1), I always considered Ayane as my favourite ninja out of the bunch. Kasumi is more of a pin-up teen-idol kinda ninja, but Ayana has the perfect look and attitude.

I always thought Yoshimitsu was a samurai...

Darrius Cole4997d ago

I still think Yoshimitsu is a samurai.

He is a Lin Kuei. Says so himself that he isn't a ninja in Shaolin Monks.
Darn it now I want a sequel. I love this franchise

Ten best fighting games on the Wii

GamerTVnetwork.com:
"The Wii has never gotten much respect from hardcore gamers. The console's motion controls are often scoffed at as is the large library of casual and family-friendly titles. An extremely large selection of what many would consider to be shovelware hasn't helped things much, either. And while most of that lack of hardcore enthusiasm is well earned, Nintendo's motion-controlled console has scored some decent fighting titles -- some of which have been Wii exclusives. Let's take a look at the ten best on the system to date:"

Dbz is better in my opinion the TOL.
Naruto CONR2 should be on the list because 3 is why better because of online story etc.
TVC look better than punch out.

you guy can disagree but these are just my thought

SactoGamer5045d ago

DBZ should totally be at the rear-end of this list along with any and all Naruto titles. Just my thought.

DethRob645045d ago

All 3 Naruto Clash of the Ninja Games Heck 3 Has Online Play and it is not on the list.

50 percent of these games are garbage! Soul Caliber: Legends? Seriously? SSBB is incredible though.
