WTMG's Leo Faria: "I would like to preface that, despite the somewhat high score, Forza Motorsport is actually very disappointing. After being given so many years to build upon previous Forza titles, as well as learning from what Playground Games was able to achieve with its Horizon games, Turn 10 focused too heavily on gameplay and progression elements nobody had ever asked for, almost as if they were intentionally padding the game’s length in order to make a Game Pass subscription feel more enticing in the long run. Everything about it feels bureaucratic: the narration feels bored, the UI feels excessively professional, it’s hard to feel like there was any passion in the creation of this title. It’s also ironic, considering how much the game wants to you bond with your car with the power of friendship, almost as if I was playing Kingdom Hearts…"
A new update for Forza Motorsport has been announced that will remove the car upgrade progression limit. It will come out next month.
Beyond repair at this point the people have made up their minds on this game already. You had one chance and ya blew it

There were unexpected changes to long-established series, fruitful reunions, and highly unexpected returns. The WRC license went to EA and subsidiary Codemasters for the first time in over 20 years, resulting in one of the most acclaimed WRC titles in years; the mainline Forza Motorsport series made its long-awaited return after a gap of six years; F-Zero went one further by getting a new entry almost 19 years(!) after the last one; and Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 built upon the solid foundation of the first title to create a new series that's not to be slept on."

It honestly plays like a lazy GT Sport. I’m a big Forza fan and was really unimpressed when my rig with a 3080 couldn’t push more than 35 fps even on low settings in 2k. Won my first online race and immediately uninstalled it after a couple hours of playing. Went back FH5 which runs on ultra to extreme settings. Disappointed and I’d give it a 5/10
