IGN First : Get a brand-new look at gameplay from an early mission of Alan Wake 2.
Remedy has released its financial statement for the first quarter of 2024, and despite strong sales, Alan Wake 2 has yet to recoup its development costs.
Lol. I imagine there's still alot of people that buy physicals. Or atleast see what kind of new games are out by what they see in real stores. This is on them. Idda paid 70 day one physical. Now I won't pay more then 15 for it
Remedy has made a couple of changes to its core management team with the goal to grow Alan Wake and Control into larger franchises.
Changes like not being anti consumer? putting out Alan Wake Remastered on disc but not the sequel?
With path-traced diffuse lighting and reflections even the mighty RTX 4090 can't hit 60 FPS at 4K without frame generation.
After watching a bit of this I think I'll pass this one. The original was great for what it was but I don't think I can get behind a different protagonist and I've only just finished Control's dlc.
I know its a work in progress but its the total lack of audible atmosphere on the exteriors that gets me, they sound like people having a chat in an echoey room
I waited this long just to play alan wake. I completed it last month, and I found it to be a cool concept, and it was fun. However, it's dlc was boring to me and control couldn't hold my attention like Alan wake had. I was hoping I would be foaming at the mouth in anticipation for a sequel to a game I just completed, but I'm not even remotely interested after playing the first. I played alan wake as a ps plus freebie, I'll either do the same with the sequel or get it at a bargain price down the road.
The new protagonist would have to be much more interesting to say the least.
