The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is the game Tolkien fans have been waiting for.
This year, gamers had some fantastic experiences, and The Nerd Stash going to focus on the best multiplayer and co-op releases of 2023.
After careful consideration, The Nerd Stash has picked the winner for the best indie of 2023 amongst many fantastic titles that launched this year.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria is an unremarkable experience that feels like a faint shadow of the games that clearly inspired it.
As a HUGE fan of this franchise (both the movies and the books.) Am I the only one that didn't like the look of this game? I was excited hearing we had a new Lord of the Rings game. But, I honestly stopped watching the trailer before it even finished. It just looks really generic. Not sure if it's the art style, or what... It just looks kind of cheap. Guess it can't be worse than the Gollum game, lol. That's some level of comfort. I personally want another Third Age style RPG for a new Lord of the Rings game.
This game looks just as bad as Gollum. Who the hell wants to play as a dwarf? With all the amazing lore that can be mined from The Silmarillion they choose to make a game about the Dwarves of Moria... Devs like this deserve to be shuttered because if they think this is what people want then they shouldn't be making games.
