Well fk around and find out. It shouldn't matter who you are. Wish it went until detail about what the guy actually did or said though.

CUnit123123266d ago

He is a big Xbox Ambassador and doesn't even chat on Xbox these days. He was probably targeted by a random reporting him and system is probably using non-human means and not human to check accuracy.

crazyCoconuts266d ago

What's the next iteration of this? All conversations recorded digitally, transcribed and evaluated by AI, and they "go to the tape" if there are escalations?

shinoff2183266d ago

Coconuts that's the way the world's moving. Sci fi has been showing us for years. I'm not saying it's good. Even cell phones these days it reminds me of an episode of outer limits where people had these devices installed on their brain, looked sorta like Blu tooth for phones.

rippermcrip265d ago

The whole big thing about their new system is they specifically said there are no automatic strikes, not even for a mass report. That everything is specifically reviewed by people.

cammers1995265d ago

Just like Facebook now. The admin/moderator team isn't even human. It's ai/computer based now and you can be suspended/Facebook jailed for being reported for something stupid.

FinalFantasyFanatic265d ago

@cammers1995,
I've been warned or almost banned on Facebook for things that aren't even against the rules, and that's not even an uncommon issue (whereas it can be hard to get something done about actually rule violations). Unfortunately that kind of thing will just be more common in the future and it'll be hard to prevent, that, and some people are just jerks.

KillBill265d ago

The program clearly stated that before any bans take place human eyes would be on it.

There has been a small update provided at the bottom..

bunt-custardly265d ago

Deflection or if true then what happened about, if it's in the game and on the MS store/Xbox Live then surely it's permitted.

NotoriousWhiz265d ago

2 day suspension for an 8 year old screenshot? They should just remove the screenshot, provide a notification, and move on with no consequences.

Concertoine265d ago

I love having my speech policed and maintained while doing extracurricular things. Im hoping next they install a mic at the bar i go to with my friends - we can get a little offensive after too many!

I wont be happy until i wake up and go to bed having spent the entire day ensuring no one was offended by my words :)

banger88265d ago

Wouldn't take much these days for a triggered, offended bartender to kick someone out if they overhear something they don't like. Probably not the actual person who owns the joint however.

SyntheticForm265d ago

The ones who cry "fascism" the most sorta seem to be the most... yeah.

Concertoine260d ago

Youre right - for the record. Lol

Microsoft Opening Xbox Mobile Game Store in July

The Xbox brand is expanding, as an Xbox mobile game store is opening this coming July where Microsoft will brings its "first-party portfolio."

“Bond adds that they will start on the web”

This will go nowhere.

Nice knowing you Xbox. This is what happens when the house never gets cleaned.

MrDead2d ago

The only this MS is expanding is the amount of feculence it sprays on everyone who just want to enjoy gaming and make games.

The best thing MS can do for the gaming industry is leave and never return.

Good luck with this even it might not succeed.
