I think I was wrong. When Starfield shown off in great detail and Xbox's Showcase earlier this year, it seemed people were really starting to warm up to the game. We still have no freaking clue how entertaining it will actually be. We just know it's pretty and has a lot to do to consume your time, when you should be spending time with your kids..... If youre even responsible and adult enough to have kids. But, pretty isn't everything.

I think everyone is intrigued with the game, curious more than anything, and there's still a looming cloud of fear and doubt there's going to be much of anything to do or whether it's going to be lifeless and bland and monotonous after you get outside the first five cities. But, I think the hype is there because people are curious. ILL STAKE MY CLAIM NOW ON 8-8-23 NOW, that people are going to praise it for a little while, maybe a month or two, like a brand new car, it's fun to drive, but then the novelty will wear off. Microsoft will have made their money and A LOT OF IT but doesn't mean people will actually appreciate it. They're going to complain about it, a lot, and the truth with them be out there but the damage already done. Reviews will be good, 8-8.5, but it won't last, the game will be badmouthed later down the road once everyone, again, have let the hype wear off, retrospectives will complain. In short, it's not going to be the great masterpiece, there's just nothing better to play on Xbox and Xbox will be seeing with this game that Series S wasn't the best call, that it limits devs and devs are forced to develop for S because Xbox has to sell it or alienate that customer so, too late for Xbox now. But, when Starfield was really shown and people started to go crazy over it, I said that it still couldn't compete with Legend of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom, that Starfield wasn't going to be Game of the Year material. Again, it might get some recognition at the Game of the Year Awards because, let's face it, no matter what camp you're in, it's going to be a pretty dry year. Because there's nothing, Starfield and even Spider-man 2 will be candidates for Game of the Year this year, mark my words, but that's only because the competition is thin, not necessarily because Starfield is deserving of being a candidate, there just wasn't much to go up against.
Still! Will all the buzz surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom, Starfield didn't stand a chance and I said it would lose Game of the Year, Xbox again being left without a Game of the Year, though it'll make it into the candidate spot, not because it'll be worthy of Game of the Year at that Calibur, but again, because there's nothing else and I said that Legend of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom would beat it severely based on all the talk.

But then we have this little guy here and reviews have been really good for this one and there's a lot of talk about it and I could be wrong, Balders Gate 3 could challenge Legend of Zelda and beat it. Breath of the Wild won Game of the Year years ago, so did God of War. But Geoff Keighley isn't going to play that hand, God of War Ragnarok reviewed to the same game as it's predecessor and as much as Keighley wanted to give it Game of the Year, he said he couldn't do that and it went to Elden Ring, but within him it was God of War Ragnarok, this year, if Keighley feels the same way Legend of Zelda won't get Game of the Year and this game will, it will be Legend of Zelda: Tears of a Kingdom, Starfield, Spider-man 2, Diablo IV, and Baldurs Gate 3, and I think with all the buzz of Baldurs Gate 3, it's said to be a difficult game, but so was Elden Ring in typical From Software fashion so, I think I could be wrong. I said Tears of a Kingdom would beat Starfield, but I think it's going to be Baldurs Gate for Game of the Year 2023

Kinda cool I guess. Seems they just allowed the camera to zoom in right on top of the characters head and then able to control movement like a fps. Makes me wonder what the game would be like if I didn't ever zoom way out and scroll over the environment to check out for enemies nearby almost constantly.
