Unsurprisingly, they gave Zelda 10/10:

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – 10
Redfall – 6
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – 8
Humanity – 9
Minecraft Legends – 4

Edge is usually pretty biased towards Nintendo

cthulhucultist362d ago

I used to read Edge from 2000 until 2014 and I found my self disagreeing with many of their scores but that its just my opinion.

Out of 24 perfect scores, 8 of them have been awarded to Nintendo games, 4 of which Zelda games.

So its pretty evident that they like Zelda games.

But in those 24 games, you can see their preference for certain games like Rockstar games - Grand Theft Auto 4 & 5 and Read Dead Redemption, From Software titles (Elden Ring, Bloodborne), Bayonetta titles (1+2), Halo titles (1 & 3) Mario titles, Half Life Titles and the odd game for variety (Dreams, Immortality, Little Big Planet).

@TheKingKratos Rockstar and Fromsoft too.

No its because Nintendo make amazing games.

And Media Molecule are based in the UK too.

@cthulhucultist

To me that just reads: "Edge likes good, well-designed, and innovative games."

Surprised to see Minecraft Legends & Benedict Fox getting shafted more than Redfall. Interested to read the rationale there.

__SteakDeck__362d ago

@cthulhucultist Yup. They’re also not a big fan of Sony games, outside of Media Molecule games. The only big AAA Sony game that I can remember that they game a 10 to was the original Last of Us.

They also gave a Grand Turismo a 10 but I cant recall which one

Eonjay362d ago

Humanity is really reviewing well.

goldwyncq362d ago

Why? It sucks. Everything bad in the world can be traced back from them.

coolbeans361d ago

Whoa! Slow down, gold. You've got to hand it to 'em when it comes to innovative technologies. They're not perfect, but have some good things going on too.

Let's give Humanity a... mixed bag/10.

GamingSinceForever362d ago

I know this is just someone’s opinion but no way Redfall and Burning Shores are equal.

What's the point having sections if you're gonna see Nintendo crap in PC or PS sections. I didn't know I could play Zelda on PS5!

CosmicTurtle361d ago

The reviews include PS5 games.

4k turd doesnt look very good. resolution of textures, poor lighting, bad models and shaders wont be saved by upscaling a video to 4k

gold_drake31d ago

the issue is that zelda is heavily styliesed (spelling), take away all the yricks that make it look good, and ur left with ... well. that

lucian22929d ago

thing is you can be heavily stylized and detailed. zelda isnt unique in cel shading, just look at the detail given by arc system works granblue versus rising or guilty gear

gold_drake31d ago

its astonishing that nintendo games will never achieve it. maybe in 10 years when all of us have moved on to greater things
