Put in about 4 hours or so, the game itself is amazing, it's definitely an improvement on Fallen order from a gameplay/production value perspective. However I will say the performance issues are real and they're bad. In enclosed spaces it's pretty much a locked 60, soon as you get to the first open area the fps tanks and I'm on console (the reported best version of the game).
Regular FPS drops down to low 40's in the performance mode, I have a VRR display and due to the large sudden drops it doesn't help things, it's pretty unacceptable tbh. My recommendation is if you can't wait for the patch, drop it down to the 30fps quality mode, not ideal I know and even that has drops but it's much better than your frame rate jumping between 60 and at worst low 40's. Really need more time in the oven and the day 1 patch hasn't done anything for me. If you're on PC good luck, I've heard it's pretty rough rn.
