Either this is just click bait or the game just ran considerably better for me. I played it on series x and people say it doesn’t run well so I assume it’s clickbait then.

Shit review, he says there is no performance mode, ball physics are off when hitting the flag and moans about the spin in the ball etc lol. The golf is great it's just the lack of online modes I'm disappointed with and I've never had a disconnect ever since launch.

EvertonFC308d ago (Edited 308d ago )

The golf itself is fantastic, it's the bare bones online modes I'm pi**ed about and still no head to head online yet which shouldn't take that long to implement after 3 months since launch.

"Between gameplay mechanics that frustrate way too often, an online requirement that results in a number of disconnections"

Never had 1 disconnect since launch and I've played everyday and again not sure what gameplay mechanics he's referring too as I've had zero problems since launch apart from the camera angle being alittle pants on occasion but that got fixed after the 1st week of launch.

The reviewer moans about over hitting pmsl, that's on the gamer not the game, you're supposed to take everything into account wind, elevation, club shot mode etc. I can already tell hes hitting a pitch shot at full speed thinking it's gonna stop by the flag again pmsl you hit a pitch taking into account the wind speed, elevation and adjust according to the green up hill or down hill etc.
It amazes me how some reviewers cant grasp game mechanics then shit all over it cause there crap at the game.
Your gonna hit shots short or too long sometimes as that's what golf is all about, you don't hit perfect shots everytime and he also mentions the ball physics are crap there amazing quite the opposite.
This reviewer is clearly a 2k golf player and just shitting on EA for the sake of it.

I hear you. I just like the career mode, I don’t really do online play. Someone always cheats and shots like 20 under on 18 holes. It’s never legit.

EvertonFC307d ago

Yeah the online daily tournaments there is cheats I think, like -9 on 4 holes. I think some players use the old mouse in-between 2 blocks of wood trick

Lol I like how N4G's rating says it got a Fore. This one's flying off the fairway!

Ea gonna release more courses in dlc then they provided in the standard game.

EvertonFC388d ago

30 courses at launch is great imo

EvertonFC388d ago (Edited 388d ago )

Great game imo, not without some faults but great so far. Not sure why the article thinks its a chore aiming ? not had a single issue in aiming tbh and the amount of people saying the UI is clunky? again its simplistic and perfectly fine in my eyes.
My main faults are online matchmaking at the moment and some shots in difficult places show a awful view (near a stand)
Solid 8/10 imo

The person who wrote this article probably just doesn’t like EA. It’s the best golf game they’ve ever made. It was bad for years, but this iteration is actually very good. I prefer the old links games, but this game is as good if not better than 2k23.
