Now that the Japanese console versions of Soulcalibur II are 20 years old, it's worth looking back at why the game remains so iconic.
Trevor Walker said: Fighting games have always been able to simultaneously experiment and innovate while staying true to their roots in the best of ways. Mechanics change, crossovers take place, and evolution occurs. One of the best examples of all three can be seen in the coveted guest character.
The first two fighting games in the series are no longer available on the Microsoft Store.
This new resin-painted Soulcalibur II statue of Ivy is in a league of its own.
It looks cool, But for that price I’d rather buy a console and get a Soulcalibur game.
At least it's a real physical object and not an NFT people are spending money on
Of the three console versions, GCN was my favorite due to Link. His character felt more accurate to the others. Hehachi and Spawn were okay but... felt out of place.
Then again, so did Yoda and Vader in SC4.
It was excellent, not flawless but yes..excellent.
SC2 Weapon Master was a really fun time. SC3's RTS game was also a blast.
Thousands of matches, countless nights, and beautiful memories. Soulcalibur is one the greatest games there is, but its best feat is that it gathered friends for some of the best times of their lives. I miss those days and i miss those friends.
Thought 3 was better personally, shame it's stuck on PS2 and didn't get any love since.
