Is this the first time there are titles just available via streaming? What's "Xbox Cloud Gaming via EA Play"?

to your first question, no. To your second, it is these games now available to stream play. They were not cloud capable, only download through EA play but now they can work via the xcloud portion of gamepass for anyone who wants to play on their mobile device or stream play on a console instead of download/install.

Other games say "Cloud, Console, and PC". A few of these say only "Cloud". Have there been other games ONLY available to stream an not download?

As explained by darth, its not that these games are only available to stream, its that they were already available to downloand and this time they are being added to cloud too.
The stuff in the ( ) is not where they are available, but where they are being added at this time

Is sort of confusing marketing, but as far as I'm aware there is no such thing as available only via streaming. Because in order to have access to Game Pass Streaming you need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription and with that, you also get a subscription to EA Play for both console and PC that allows you to download the games as well.

So this announcement is more to say that this game that until now was available only for download play can now be streamed as well. I believe that is a thing only with EA Play games as they probably want a separate deal to have them feature on the streaming side of Game Pass.

This is their weakest month yet. How you can claim that it's going strong is incredibly astonishing. On the other hand I can see why Xbox fans haven't gotten much for such a long time. For me there's absolutely no game on this list with resubbing for game pass on PC

Yeah, it´s amazing! This reminds me of a few years back when PS fanboys used to have a good laugh at the expenses of Phil´s travels to Japan.

I mean who would believe that we would be getting tons of former Playstation exclusive games and franchises for "free" on Gamepass, like: Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Ni No Kuni, Yakuza, Persona, Guilty Gears among many many others japanese games.

The majority of japanese gaming audience are on Playstation, no doubt. But nobody on the Xbox side will ever find reasons to desagree that Phil Spencer is the best executive Xbox ever had to bring so much games from asian developers.

It´s so much that I can´t honestly keep up even on vacation. Lol.

Honestly, it's hard to know exactly what's coming to Gamepass and when since there's not really a proper calendar for what's coming.
If you account that Wo long, and Atomic Heart were both released in March then it makes this month decent, but both of them were announced in February.
Also, it's not looking good when new games announced are currently available games that will get now a streaming option.

It makes you wonder why they don't go back to the 2 weeks format they used to have or why they don't use a recap format of what came in the last month (since they want to keep surprises).

I didn’t even realize Atomic Heart and Wo Long were on Game Pass. What a nice surprise - both were games I was hearing about and wanted to try out. Recently I’ve only been using my Series X for emulation. I’ve got to check back in on Game Pass.

Honestly, and this is just my guess, I think they stopped doing the 2 week game format when the activision/blizzard deal started getting a lot of pushback. I believe the slower gamepass drops and reveals have been a result of MS trying to look like they have not much to offer so they look more in need of the buyout. Which is stupid cause gamepass was on a good roll with new subscribers but all that momentum is now slowing down from them wanting this (unnecessary imo) deal to go through.

Though I noticed MS campaign for thease titles have been weaker as of late and have been somewhat buried.

It´s impossible to create a "really proper calendar" if the studios aren´t certain of the release dates for their games. It should be obvious, don´t you think?

Those games aren´t tied to Gamepass schedules and will be released according the developer or publishers agenda.

This is just EA making the Dead Space franchise more popular among more gamers ahead of Dead Space Remake´s arrival on EA Play and possible remakes for 2 and 3.

I'm pretty sure that MS knows what's coming a month ahead and Gamepass is not 100% day 1 arrival
Most of the popular day1 announcements are hyped months ahead in the what's coming tab.

As for Dead Space, yes it's probably EA trying to run on the Deadspace release but it doesn't change the fact that MS is counting 2 already Gamepass games as new releases.
You can slice it and dice any way you want, we're far from the 7-8 games released per 2 weeks (not including surprise)
Heck what is the usual Gamepass PC-only game? and worse Valheim is already on Gamepass PC so that makes it 3 new games from now to the end of march,

I guess this is just the console rollout. They never expected for the PC release to get as big as it did, so I don't think they even were prepared for the idea of coming to console.

Best game is Strive in my opinion. It isn’t as good as Xrd and its era, but it’s a cool fighter. And it’s got Nagoriyuku. Cannot dislike that super cool anime as hell character. Loves me some Nago. Ni No will be a struggle to beat these days. It is cool, but it honestly felt old to me when it launched. Same as 2. Again, cool games, just… felt old back then. Can only imagine how they feel now. I always get Civs so there’s that. Not for everyone, but I like them. Oddly enough, I like the speedier Civ Revolution more. I Guess playing Civs over the years I welcomed a streamlined version. Realized with Civ 6 I kinda still do. I’ve never played a dead space. They just never interested me. I don’t have gamespass anymore as of the last week of last month so I guess I still won’t lol. Anyhoo, a lot here to enjoy from different genres. Enjoy yourselves!

I've been gaming for 40 years. Valheim is one of the best and most engrossing survival games I've ever played. I am so excited for my son and his friends who game primarily on Xbox and play Minecraft, Ark, and The Forest. This game will blow their minds and I get to join them from Steam! If you like or ever wanted to try a survival game you owe it to yourself to try Valheim. Your adventure awaits!
