The Day Before, inspired by survival game hits like DayZ and The Long Dark, and still second on Steam’s wishlist chart, will soon reveal “raw gameplay footage”
Let's count down games that were so bad that they just had to be recalled, delisted, and left alone as a tale for the history books.
Fntastic's The Day Before was a giant, catastrophic mess. They treated their employees unfairly, scammed, and kept devs out of the loop.
YouTuber Crimson has created a parody trailer of the defunct zombie survival game The Day Before. More proof of what a joke The Day Before was.
Can't recreate perfection it seems.
Basically more credit to the theory this was a massive asset flip and a crash grab scam
The gameplay they showed so far definitely looked too good to be true. I'm excited to see what the game actually looks like so far
I'm not convinced (given the developer's shady track record). Practically every trailer released thus far has had the game mirroring that gameplay to that of another popular franchise in the zombie/survival category.
The first gameplay trailer looked like that of TLOU (straight down to the crouching/crawl animations). The second trailer's gameplay looked like The Division. The more recent gameplay snippets has the game parroting Days Gone and State of Decay.
There's no way a game from such a small team (with a rocky past) can have that many distinct gameplay styles, much less, arrive in time by March (it's projected release date).
