Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier To Terminate Service

Square Enix has announced via Twitter and its official website that Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier will have its service terminated on the 11th of January, 2023 at 07:00 UTC.

just look at diofield chronicles and valkyrie profile elysium. You'd hardly know both those games came out recently because of Square's lack of marketing effort. So it's not shock that first soldier suffered

I'm not talking about controls here. Especially because I agree that anything is better than touch inputs for an action-focused game. But market-wise mobile is the place for a new battle royale.

I'm a massive FF fan and I didn't even bother with this. There's a reason why I like Final Fantasy games and it's to play Final Fantasy games. I understand spin-offs like FF Tactics or Stranger of Paradise, but when you stray way too far from the course of what makes Final Fantasy, well, Final Fantasy, then I won't have an interest in the game.

If this was released on real consoles/pc, I think it would've survived and done quite good.

Most mobile games have a short life span anyway, but having this game compete with all the other games in the battle royale genre was a pretty high bar to jump, even if it was a free to play mobile game.
