Report: Resident Evil 4 Remake for Xbox One Surfaces on Amazon

It looks like Resident Evil 4 Remake is also coming to Xbox One, as a new Amazon listing has surfaced online, which includes the last-gen Xbox console.

Orchard608d ago

Seems very likely this is true if it's coming to PS4. Also, their engine runs across all and is pretty scalable from what we've seen, so why not cash in on last gen.

Hopefully the next-gen versions still hold up well, like Village did.

SullysCigar608d ago

Great news for those yet to upgrade to current gen. I'll be playing this on PSVR2, myself. Looking forward to more details as they emerge.

PSVR has become the best way to play RE games. RE7 was simply incredibly and I cannot wait for RE8/4 on VR2

ClayRules2012608d ago

Agreed! I wasn’t the biggest fan of RE7, however, playing it in VR genuinely scared the crap outta me and my family plenty of times haha. My fiancé's family doesn’t really game, but her father and brother enjoyed the VR experience, which was a treat to see!

cluclap607d ago

Man re4 on the quest 2 was friggin incredible

CrimsonWing69608d ago

Wait, the RE4 Remake will be PSVR 2 compatible!?

SullysCigar607d ago

Yup! We just need more details and some footage, but Sony announced compatibility at a recent State of Play.

At the moment, you can play the original RE4 on quest, which plays fine but looks awful. Details have apparently been held back regarding Remake on PSVR2 so as not to rain on quests exclusivity parade, which seems fair enough.

Venoxn4g607d ago

It will be, but there is no confirmation will it be just a mode or full game in VR

SoulWarrior608d ago

Annoying to still get cross-gen games, but supply issues have constrained the potential install base of current gen systems, so I can understand why.

Profchaos608d ago

Until Capcom announce it there may be issues so it could just be coming later or xcloud based

ZeekQuattro607d ago

Very doubtful. If the Xbone VCR can run RE 2, 3 and 8 just fine I don't see 4 being any different seeing its still the RE engine.

-Foxtrot608d ago

Urgh, leave last gen behind guys

I want to see a full on Resident Evil game taking advantage of current gen consoles

JEECE608d ago (Edited 608d ago )

I can't wait till PS6 comes out so games can start taking advantage of PS5.

Flawlessmic607d ago

Its genuinly starting to feel that way!!

Overall Game of the Year 2023

VGChartz's Evan Norris: "Those that made it onto the Shortlist below are each special in their own way. Alan Wake 2, a long time in the making, dazzled players with its cutting-edge graphics and brilliant narrative. Baldur's Gate III wowed critics and consumers alike with an amazing cast of characters and dizzying gameplay freedom. Final Fantasy XVI impressed with its beautiful cut-scenes and fresh take on action combat. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, a game under the shadow of impossibly high expectations, invigorated its audience with endless opportunities for experimentation. And Resident Evil 4 riffed on an 18-year-old formula, in some instances improving on one of the best games of all time."

*shrug*

It's a Nintendo-heavy site. What else can be said?

anast119d ago

A copy-paste game over BG3...Gotta get that access.

coretone113d ago

BG3 is overrated. It's the worst BG there is.

anast112d ago

Give me some exact reasons why it is overrated. I have some ideas, but I want to hear yours first.

Star ocean 2 remake. That's easy to answer

Best Lead Performance of 2023

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "As the average game script balloons in dialogue there's greater demand for marquee acting talent. And as illustrated by both good & poor examples from 2023, sympathizing with a protagonist's struggle greatly relies on both the writing and delivery. This is emphasized in two unique ways by this year's shortlist: the addition of a voice fundamentally altering Dead Space remake's story beats & the dual protagonist structure in Alan Wake II. A fumble in either of those respects would've resulted in lesser works; fortunately, they're among some of the year's most celebrated titles."

Best VR Game of 2023

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "2023 was a notable year for VR hardware, with both Sony's PSVR2 and Meta's Meta Quest 3 arriving on the scene. Both of them have primarily earned a considerable amount of praise for their technological advancements, but that's not to say their software output was extinct. Granted, early adoption tends to favor older ports with improved visuals and new controller/headset gimmicks; it comes with the territory. But within that flow of ports and updates came an exclusive for each respective platform reaching our shortlist. It's too early to tell if that presages a bountiful surplus of future masterclass VR games, but it's a welcoming sign all the same."

“Horizon Call of the Mountain” had more bells and whistles and has some wow moments for VR newbies. But I had more fun playing “Synapse”.

DaleCooper129d ago

Synapse was my VR GOTY. Such a great game.

coolbeans128d ago

Damn. I want to try that one soon.

Leeroyw129d ago

Red Matter 2 was it for me. The visuals, scope and writing was incredible.

coolbeans128d ago

Another one I missed from last year.

DaleCooper125d ago

Just picked this up, can't wait to play it!

coolbeans128d ago

Don't spoil the surprise for everyone. ;)
