Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann has a Return to Monkey Island cameo

From Eurogamer: "Neil Druckmann, the man behind the gritty The Last of Us games, has a cameo in the delightful, and comparatively very colourful, Return to Monkey Island.

Last night, I finished Return to Monkey Island. It was an amazing moment for me, and as I sat watching the credits roll with my heart feeling pleasantly full I saw a name make its way up the screen that I did not expect to see there - Neil Druckmann."

Even Neil Druckmann's mom doesn't get a pleasantly full heart when she sees his douchey, smug, manlet face

MadLad604d ago

Hey.
Leave the man alone.

All he's done is make a highly cherished franchise highly divisive since being given full control.

Stop scrutinizing him for that.

From reading your comment, it seems like your mom didn't love you enough, tbh.

It always amazes me to see grown adults get online to talk negatively about another person living their life and dreams. It's not healthy, get help.

@ABizzel1

Usually it's the most unhappy people who voice they're negative views into existence.

They're very dedicated though. I'm pretty sure alternative accounts were used to spam some dislikes and upvotes on this comment thread (it happened a lot with TLOU2-related articles).

I used to always leave comments documenting this behaviour, and reported loads of new accounts set up on the same day that were used just to troll. Kind of got fed up of doing it, but the people doing it largely did as well, I think.

I saw my comment recently and I've suddenly went from 5 likes, 3 dislikes to 7 likes, 19 dislikes. lol. The story is still at 100 degrees (no influx of new people). The first comment went from having slightly more dislikes than likes to almost double the opposite (the dislikes are roughy the same).

N4G should be better at tackling this stuff but I suppose if someone's dedicated enough, there's no stopping them.

Half expected something like this after the Uncharted 4's Monkey Island easter-egg.

That said, i would have preferred a game easter-egg rather than a cameo of Mr. Druckmann (...) a brilliant writer, that unfortunately always think he is right.

So it looks like they have abandoned unreal for future iterations of the game and are sticking with ego. So that means no decent VR support on PC and none on console seeing as the ego can't handle it properly. I think I'm done with this franchise it's turned into fifa with a hefty price tag and no innovation from one year to the next. Time for someone else to have a go at this licence
