Braid PS3 Depends on Sony Interest

Braid: An Xbox 360 big hitter that's on its way to the PC next year, could also meet the PlayStation 3. If Sony approves that is.

Got to be honest, I like Briad (even though it was hideously overpriced), but I think people got way to excited over it. It's good, but way overrated, which is impressive in its self for an indie game.

It's only overrated (it your eyes) because it's not on the PS3. The reviewers didn't get this one wrong, it really is a unique and refreshing game with a story that's incredible.

He is actually wondering if he needs any more money. Why would Sony pay him to put a game on their console if he will profit from it? They don't need the game, the developer would profit more if he could put his game on as many platforms as possible. Sony has shown they are not interested in the same tactics as MS as far as buying away exclusive content.

It would be like a store owner asking the owner of the Property to give them money because people like his store.

Braid has extremely innovative puzzle mechanics and each world adds a new power to the game. I think it would be great if it comes out to the PSN. Then many more people can enjoy it. It is a little fun game.

Haven't played it, but hear good things about it. Would be nice to play it, since I like the art direction... Hope Sony accepts and that they also finally release the PSN Cards in Europe so I can finally purchase something on PSN...

Story's pretty complicated, wouldn't wanna tell you any of it cos it's best to read through it piece by piece. It's a 2D platformer with time-warping mechanics that get progressively harder and change the further into the game you get. The game is all about collecting puzzle pieces. It sounds lame to call this game a work of art but there's loads of art in it and the story is so original and mind-bending (like the puzzles) that I'm forced to (this game is art). People who say it's overpriced are wrong or 2 poor to afford $10 on a quality game

No worries, just hope it gets on PSN so you can play it. The graphics and music are also immense, which I forgot 2 mention. Obviously the graphics are 2D I'd say they were the nicest I've seen.

I'd love to be able to play it but I just hate the little character on the gameplay trailers-he gives me the creeps like "The Childcatcher" in Chtty Chitty Bang Bang(which I cannot watch).Maybe if you don't have to play using him, like ever, it'd be okay for my fragile mind. Braid would fit in well on PSN though as there's loads of innovative, quirky and quality titles on there these days.

I do not know why Sony "needs to consider this". He just needs to sign up for a dev kit and that's it. I have no idea if there are some rental possibilities for these dev kits (they are damn expensive) and I am pretty sure they have a common policy in place for PSN titles. But I am pretty sure there is a way if he really wants to do a PSN version, it can be made possible, even with a small budget (if that's what holds him back).

Ju, not sure, but I'd wager there are certain write-in notes in the contract he signed with MS to get it on the XBox system in regards to production, ownership, and publishing rights.

I'd wager that's something Sony would be going over with a fine tooth comb, if this offer ever did hit the table for them.

See Microsoft only acquires innovative game if it puts a ton of money in their pockets. Look at Braid, 1200 MICROSOFT POINTS. Jon Blow didn't even want to charge that much on his game, but M$ insisted. They turned down MM with LBP because they didn't think it would make them much money. Now MM is ps3 friendly and their game LBP game is selling more and more after a rough start. Sony will def be interested in this title. Jonathan blow will prob make the sequel a ps3 exclusive.
