Where are all the new games since combining devs from hand helds & consoles? Skimp on hardware and now even skimping on the games. Plenty that fans want, Star Fox, Pilotwings etc etc. Nowhere to be seen, instead rehashing stuff and pumping out the usual Pokemon junk.

Apple is good at doing a similar thing and people still buy. Milk them people while spending as little as possible on your hardware.

Snookies12618d ago (Edited 618d ago )

Pilotwings on Switch would be amazing. Star Fox would be amazing... F-Zero would be... Amazing... Too bad they only really care about Mario, Zelda and Pokemon these days. We were incredibly lucky to even get a new mainline Metroid entry decades later.

Einhander1971618d ago

Totally agree I love Nintendo, but they piss me off at the same time. They could remaster Starfox Snes, N64, Wii U as a trilogy, Pilot wings yes, F zero yes. When will we see the new Metroid? A new Mario? Donkey kong?

brewin618d ago

Yeah there really is a ton of untapped potential there. They could just re release much of the stuff like the Mario & Luigi, Kirby, Zelda, and Metroid 3DS games. I've longed for switch version of the virtual console with these gems available.

Why is it that these comment sections are flooded with youngsters with a scarcity mindset? The first comment is always, "why isn't this better for me in some way or fashion?" "Why does this company suck so bad?" It's the thinking of spoilt child with absolutely no concept of how good you actually have it.

This hobby of ours has given us all so many great moments, and there are literally more games out there than anyone could actually play. So, so many great games in so many different genre's. And all you can do is complain. I like many of the developers that you scorn, but I especially like how developers compliment each other and treat each other with respect. You never hear Nintendo badmouthing Sony. You could learn a thing or two from Nintendo I think.

MadLad618d ago

I'm 30.
I don't know what your metric is, but I wouldn't consider myself a youngster.

I grew up loving my N64.
I don't even bother with Nintendo anymore. I still play their games. I'll buy the odd Switch title and emulate a better version of it.
But everything they do lately kind of sucks.

Number1TailzFan618d ago

No need to complain even when they release some titles with barebones features? Some even have less content and modes than previously released games. Mission Mode in MK happened once and just disappeared, for example.

Yui_Suzumiya618d ago

Harmonia, Witch on the Holy Night, Needy Girl Overdose, Chaos;Head Noah / Chaos;Child, Bayonetta 3, Void Bastards and Stand By You would like a word, lol

Me being a PC gamer and XBOX Series X gamer I thought the last few Nintendo systems wasn't worth a buy due to a lack of 3rd party games. My daughter then gave me an og Switch to play on when I travel. Since then I have upgraded to an oled Switch and a 3DS to play on. Nintendo have some great games to play on their console. I also think that it's a great system for indy games. Don't sleep on the Switch and 3DS. Idk if I would feel the same without my PC but I have really enjoyed my Switch and buying accessories for it so far. Makes me feel like a kid again back when I would but stuff for my SNES.

King_Noctis618d ago (Edited 618d ago )

Where have you been? They have been releasing game almost on a monthly basis with games like Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and Live A Live. And games like Splatoon 3, Advance War, Bayonetta 3, Mario+Rabbid 2, and Pokemon Scarlett and Violet are still to come this year.

I’m not saying Nintendo shouldn’t do better, but to ask “where are all the gamez” when a new exclusive game is releasing literally almost every month is just ignorant.

brewin618d ago

Dont you dare forget Metroid Dread! They FINALLY gave us a full fledged quality 2D Metroid on the home console! That made the Switch a must own for me right there. The Switch did feel like a Wii U port machine for awhile there, but thankfully they have been putting out some great stuff this for the last year or 2.

princejb134618d ago

Problem is star fox, f-zero and pilotwings sounds good in theory but will they sell. Yes the majority of us on this website wants it but will the masses buy into it. Ive have heard many times throughout the years "we want this game" after years and years of crying about it only for the game to barely sell when its finally made.

I wish they would port (with a few upgrades) the OoT and MM 3DS remakes in one collection

brewin618d ago (Edited 618d ago )

Have been wishing for these for ages! I always thought the Switch would get these very soon after release but no dice. I'd love to see a 3DS collection that includes those remakes of Ocarina and Majora, along with the very underrated but absolutely amazing Link Between Worlds. Not enough people got to experience that one but it is so good! The Switch definitely needs a nice Zelda collection similar to Mario All Stars.

FinalFantasyFanatic618d ago

I was hoping we'd get that for Zelda's 35th anniversary, along with Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, but we only got Skyward Sword, terrible compared to Mario's 35th. I'm still salty about how hard done by the Zelda anniversary was.

brewin618d ago

Yeah some kind of special collectors edition collection or something would have been nice. Instead we got Zelda joy cons and the worst modern Zelda (IMO!) from a gameplay standpoint. And it was far overpriced no less. That should have been a $30 budget title at most, but since its Zelda, they just slapped full price tag on it.

FinalFantasyFanatic617d ago

@brewin,

That price would have been easier for me to swallow if it had been a double pack, say they included it with Twilight Princess or Wind Waker, I still bought the game in the end. Mario had other celebrations to go with it's anniversary as well though, like Mario 35 (even though that was a temporary game), game and Watch, Mario Kart Live, ect... Nintendo just went all out for Mario and not Zelda's 35th.

MadLad618d ago

I mean, I openly emulate their titles, so I technically have a remaster of the DS titles, but I'm really surprised they haven't done that already.

It wouldn't be a lot of work, and would sell a ton.

gold_drake618d ago

are there people who emulate the games in secret?

MadLad617d ago

@curtain

There a bunch of people who whine about piracy, then have entire catalogues of emulated titles sitting on desktops and laptops.
I'm happy to say I play whatever Switch games I want but never owned a switch.

XiNatsuDragnel618d ago

I wish these got upgrades w new dungeon's and features added on to it. In my opinion

brewin618d ago

That would be nice, but these games do hold up very well so there's really not much they need to do! Just put them on the Switch is all we want! If there's any series that deserves a nice limited edition collector set it's these Zelda classics!

GoodGuy09618d ago

Cool. Idk why the wii u remasters took this long though. Doubt there'll even be enhancements.

Im guessing what will be shown for Zelda is the remaster bundle...for $60 ofc....the zelda mobile game, maybe a new 2d zelda (hopefully remake of oracle, ill take a new game also), and trailer+gameplay of botw2 with a solid release date and full name reveal.

Well, let's hope these rumors are right anyways.

Asplundh618d ago

I don't see them doing a bundle, ithe games will be separate for $60 each

XxINFERNUSxX618d ago

Also, the rumored Metroid Prime remaster for the Nintendo Switch. Would be great if these all were 100% true, hopefully it will be. 😊

Microsoft Opening Xbox Mobile Game Store in July

The Xbox brand is expanding, as an Xbox mobile game store is opening this coming July where Microsoft will brings its "first-party portfolio."

“Bond adds that they will start on the web”

This will go nowhere.

Nice knowing you Xbox. This is what happens when the house never gets cleaned.

MrDead1d 8h ago

The only this MS is expanding is the amount of feculence it sprays on everyone who just want to enjoy gaming and make games.

The best thing MS can do for the gaming industry is leave and never return.

XiNatsuDragnel1d 6h ago

Good luck with this even it might not succeed.
