Guinness World Records The Videogame is a great collection of Wii mini-games, yet it won't surprise or impress you as much as you would imagine. The user-interface leaves a lot to be desired and some of the mini-games are hit and miss, but the controls are solid nonetheless. It's not for everyone but those competitive players should find some fun with this.
The people over at Guinness World Records has produced their list of the top 50 video game characters of all time for this year’s edition of their best selling gaming book the Guinness Book of World Records: Gaming Edition.
It's not a bad list but,
30. Altair (Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft, 2007)
35. Ezio (Assassin’s Creed II, Ubisoft, 2009)
Altair should not be above Ezio that's for sure
glad to see some of my favs on there:
Crash
Spyro
Nathan Drake
Ezio
Link
Ratchet
What a crappy list. How is soap or CPT price on that list, and above more iconic characters. This is why gwr isn't relevant anymore.
Guinness World Records the Video Game isn't a bad game, but in a market with so many other "party" type games available like Raving Rabbids and Mario Party, there really needs to be more done in order to make this game stand out. Better character customization options and a better map layout would have been much appreciated. However, the smooth play control does somewhat make up for this.
AG writes: "I am relatively split down the middle with Guinness World Records: The Videogame; some of the thirty-six games on offer feel like padding but some are genuinely excellent and the online Virtual Record feature will have you constantly trying to beat others' scores, which may bring you back to check that your record hasn't been broken.
Unfortunately, too many of the games involve frantic waving rather than any skill and this is just annoying enough that many adults won't continue playing after working their way through the good games. However, if you're looking for something to keep your children occupied then this is the game for you - just make sure that there's nothing valuable within swiping range, or world records won't be the only thing getting broken."
