This is a wonderful and grest cause, i myself have rescued many stray cats throughout my life and all hold a place in my heart, they helped me during my toughest years and got me through suicide attempts after being diagnosed with bipolar, i really hope this game succeeds.

DarXyde662d ago

I'm glad you're still here, mate. Genuinely. Animals really are like children in how they can bring out strength we never knew we had.

I have great respect for developers who work toward these sorts of causes. It's admirable, and shows a deep level of humanity that we tend not to associate with them. This is what I love to see the most in gaming: passion about the right things. Whether it is protection of animals, social advocacy through narrative elements, and even just attention to making a great product regardless of the financial viability of it long term.

Thank you very much for your kind words, agree with everything you said.

Wtf. People actually being…… nice on n4g?

roadkillers661d ago (Edited 661d ago )

I’m happy you are safe! My country eats cats, remember… people are the most important over animals

This cat looks like a good boy.

Promachos662d ago

Love animals, love cats. Have one female myself. She’s amazing…

Crows90662d ago

Love em too...unfortunately I was randomly cursed with an allergy to cats after a certain medical recommendation. Along with other random allergies like horses and shellfish which I had been eating with no problems...go figure.

Still probably gonna get a cat at some point. I hope.

SonyStyled661d ago

I’m allergic too and I’ve been a cat dad for 20yrs. He’s always next to me and sleeps at my side every night. As long as I don’t stuff my face in his fur while hugging I’m usually unaffected

Crows90660d ago

@sony

My allergy makes me start getting rhinitis symptoms the moment I step into a cat home. Usually coincides with not so clean homes though. Cleaner homes with cats i have less of a reaction.

Bathyj662d ago

Boo.
You save a 1000 cats, you kill 100,000 birds and lizards every year.

Looking forward to Stray but.

Aussiesummer662d ago

save a human, you kill every living thing.

Crows90662d ago (Edited 662d ago )

Huh...that is so interesting so why is it humans take in stray cats.

Wouldn't cats be stray all the time without humans. And wouldn't injured animals stay injured or worse without our ability to help them?

I'd say when people make the claim that humans destroy everything that's more of a personal interior discovery of yourself than of others.

VenomCarnage89662d ago

@crows
Just because humans can do good things, that doesn't automatically destroy Aussiesummers words. He's right, and it isn't some internal predictor of who he is, he's simply not denying reality. If you live in a fairy tail where humans don't do bad, or do much less bad than good, I think that's more of a personal indicator about you.
Plus, your precious cats would mostly survive and thrive without us, they are not some entirely helpless creature that we have to be around to save. They don't even like us, much less need us lol

oldenjon661d ago (Edited 661d ago )

So true. @Crows90 it’s net destructive, regardless of how much good they think they’re doing. Particularly westerners with their toilet paper, supermarkets, cars, suburbs, factory farming etc. doesn’t mean cats aren’t worth saving, and you can avoid the issue altogether by keeping them indoor pets.

Knushwood Butt662d ago

My cat lives indoors and may occasionally kill the odd insect.

Even when we had cats that went outdoors, all three probably killed one or two birds in total.

Zero lizards.

Daeloki662d ago

Seriously? That's your take on this? Are you okay? Having a bad day, need a hug?

Noskypeno661d ago

That's why you put a bell on the cat that gives the birds an earlier heads up. And humans have done bad, but if you want to think about it, the amount of pollution the earth emits is vastly greater than what humans are capable of, the pessimism isn't going to help anyone thrive.

Binarycode662d ago

I agree, But we are animals. We all have the same bones.

They are just arranged differently for purpose. Hence we are an animal and people that find bones still confuse human and animal bones because they are so similar. Sorry for waffling.

But I totally agree. Obviously we eat just like any predator does, but on a much larger scale. But even so, this planet and animals need looking after.

Yi-Long662d ago

I think the big difference is that we, humans, feel we need to own, rule, and control the world, while animals just need to live and survive in it.

Crows90662d ago

We aren't just animals. A typical animal has 1 set of behavior patterns. Humans do not.

In fact all other organisms have very specific routine and behavior. Humans don't.

No human can determine the exact behaviors of other humans. We can make assumptions and educated guesses based on data. We invent tools to make our lives drastically different from one generation to the next. Unfortunately we also like to spell doom and gloom every decade regarding whatever tickles our fancy. And on top of that whoever happens to be alive during that decade or century likes to think that theyre the first ones to be faced with a doom and gloom scenario.

We can barely determine the weeks weather. We aren't in control of anything and we don't know anything. These are the words of honest scientists.

Noskypeno661d ago

So if we are animals, should we do away with laws and just let murder, rape and pedophilia be a thing that is unpunishable, since that's what animals do.
