A new patch for Square Enix's action role-playing game, Final Fantasy VII Remake, has brought changes to certain cutscenes.
"It’s unclear why Square Enix opted to make this change around 4 years after the game’s release."
Because some progressive, blue-haired freak started quivering uncontrollably and frothing at the mouth?
They wanted to have consistency with the new character model. That basically it.
Why not make the new character model resemble the design of 4 years ago though?
while i want my games, especially the ff games with alot of lore, to be as accurate in their translation as possible, the english localisation took huge liberties in the first place.
the japanese and german for example are in line with one another. english is not. but yea. its a silly change, the steel sky was a great thing when she said it, but apperantly the original english lip movement was more in line with "i dont like it" than with "the steel sky, i miss it"
Great value for PS+ Extra members but on the other hand wtf at PS+ Premium. Two whole PSP games for those who are paying extra for that? That's a joke and I bet neither of them will have trophies at least either.
Wow, Premium my ass. What a joke.
I just got Extra for like $20 till December (was a regular sub), so I basically just saved $10 for Stray with the purchase.
Nice line-up.
From being on N4G, and hearing their die-hard fans, I never thought I would see the day Sony starts paying for day 1 releases and promoting them in a sub-service.
I guess this is just the way the industry is moving, and I love it. It's just sad to see MS got lambasted for it. People thinking because they are not currently doing day 1 first-party games makes this huge difference are wearing blinders. The only real difference is that Sony can sell/milk games for $70 a pop.
The whole pitch about degrading game quality is nonsense, with that mindset, even though it's not AAA, Stray should be a subpar game. What about the 10 live service games, will they charge you $70 for "AAA" "fully funded" games or will they add them to PS+ Service as 10 sub-par quality degraded games with MTX?
I guess people can argue and say, hey they are using the $70 games to fund the day 1 game or the possible 10 live service day 1 games, but shouldn't $120 yearly + anyone that wants a physical copy can still buy it, MTX and PC releases from millions of fans cover the cost? because realistically they on average put out 3 big exclusives a year, which is $210 if a person decides to buy all 3.
I say what I say not to say what Sony should do, but to stop the lie about the degrading quality of games on sub-services.
Just saying.
I've got the disc stored away and haven't played in years - maybe it's time to finish the rest of Black Flag. Excited for Stray, too. It's the doldrums of summer, I'm not really expecting much more for Premium benefits this soon after launch than what we have here.
