One of the developers working on Scarface 2 (2008) has recently unveiled the reason for its cancellation, along with some gameplay footage.
Variety writes: "While reporting on EA's "Godfather II" yesterday, I started thinking about other games based on great '70s / early '80s movies. There was Majesco's godawful "Jaws Unleashed," there's Warner Bros. forever-in-development "Dirty Harry" (but still not canceled, WB swears), and there was Vivendi's perfectly decent "Grand Theft Auto" knock-off "Scarface: The World is Yours" (remember fondly by many of us for its innovative "balls meter.")"
I wanted this so badly even if it has to be on kickstarter as an indie maybe.
I would've been up for a Scarface 2. Not gonna lie though, that concept art thumbnail looked like GTA SA at first.
Id still love to play this
I really wish we could've had this. Would be the perfect Mafia-esque game.
Shame this never came out. Still hope they make a second Scarface game one day.
