Over the course of four previous installments, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People has focused its laser-sharp wit on the likes of amateur bands and buddy-cop flicks, but with the fifth and final episode, 8-Bit Is Enough, the first season concludes with familiar territory: videogames. In some ways, the season's been building up to this, what with Strong Bad's "Fun Machine" breaking down in Baddest of the Bands, each episode's old-school style "Videlectrix" playable minigame, and the lure of the nonworking Trogdor arcade machine in the basement. The payoff is 8-Bit Is Enough, a veritable orgy of in-jokes and jabs at classic games and game mechanics that draws from the best aspects of the previous episodes while introducing several new characters and settings of its own.
AMO has just reviewed all five episodes of Strong Bad's Cool Game For Attractive People on Nintendo Wii:
"Telltale Game’s first attempt at making a game for a console (alongside a PC version), Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People did one of two things: if you were like me, you probably saw it and thought it looked bright and funny, maybe staring a wrestler with a Mexican accent and involving all kinds of shenanigans. For anyone who would spare a bit of time to check out Homestarrunner.com though, it was a dream come true. And so, while it may be a bit late, let’s take a look back at The Brother Chaps’ and Telltale Games’ joint game “for cool and attractive people – but you can play too!”"
From Gamertell:
"Telltale Inc. today (February 11, 2010) confirmed during the Macworld 2010 expo that it will, indeed, be releasing games for Mac.
Even better, the releases begin today (February 11, 2010) with Tales of Monkey Island."
Games can also vote on the next Telltale series style game to be release in March for Mac.
