In this X-Play preview, Josh Morton from SEGA stops by to talk about new Wii title The Conduit, including the game's storyline, use of the exclusive Quantum 3 Engine and special moves tailored to the Wiimote.
Are you a bad enough dude to save the president? Oh wait, wrong game.
There’s a consensus about Splatoon 1 that cannot be disputed: motion controls are the way to play. The Wii U Gamepad had its many problems on the system as a whole, but along with the way in which the touch screen was implemented in the first game like I mentioned in my last piece, using the Gamepad’s gyroscope was deemed a superior way to play compared to traditional joystick control.
Rustyshell.com: The Conduit strived to be the quality FPS experience Wii owners were missing out on, with quality graphics and a robust online multiplayer component.
Hardcore Gamer: The Conduit was an interesting first-person shooter that sneaked its way onto the Wii amid a deluge of shovelware and "family" games.
I can't wait for this game. I hope it turns out as well as it's hyped up to be.I'm sure it will be. Finally, someone thats taking full advantage of what the wii can do. Also some great controlls. Nice job high voltage and sega. Soon I con dust off my wii and let my ps3 collect just a little dust.
Ok, where are all the haters who fap on how bad " wii-music" is but when they show a "hardcore" game you don't see them?
Pathetic.
OT:
I can't wait to get my hands on it, and wonder what the update will be that they will show around Christmas.
this look awesome
Truth be told, it looks pretty sweet actually.
There hasn't been a shooter I've enjoyed on Wii yet barring RE4, which technically is a GC game.
I hated Metroid for some reason.
I've gotten well used to dual-analogue on the PS3 these days (ex PC gamer) but I would happily give The Conduit a chance.
Looking pretty smart and hopefully the spiritual successor to Goldeneye - it sure has the same feel in places and i want to embrace it for precisely this reason
AI is reportedly not incredible but then neither was Goldeneye's
Very much looking forward to a FPS using the Wiimote control scheme as to be honest there hasn't been anything really decent on Wii using this method - Metroid3 of course was decent enough
