Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel celebrated its 1-year anniversary back in January and has been out long enough now for us to talk about 3 improvements.
It’s already been one year since the release of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, and so celebrations for the game’s first anniversary have begun. Fans can now get some nice freebies and in-game deals should they wish to take advantage.
I love Yu-Gi-Oh, so I’ll give this a shot. I downloaded it last night. But I haven’t loved their games in a long time. Legacy of the duelist was fine. But it only had a select, very few card animations.
Really wish we could get a Yu-Gi-Oh RPG like we used to get for the GBA. Get rid of most of the cards. Go back to the first couple sets from the first couple series. Then maybe animate most of the cards. The show was so cool with the hologram monsters. We’ve never gotten that properly in games in nearly 20 years.
This property is an untapped goldmine in video games and Konami is just leaving it buried.

The whole buying digital packs with real world money is something I just can’t get behind. It would be one thing if your packs were yours forever more with your Konami login. No matter the game that came out, your cards transfer. This game does not give you your cards from the mobile game nor the PS4 game that was just like this a few years ago. Starting over absolutely sucks. I wish they’d just release a actual game that I can buy and have access to everything. Hell, they could even charge me for expansions that gave 3 copies of every card in said expansion. Having to grind out 3 emergency teleports all over again, three stardust dragons all over again, blah blah. I just can’t. I LOVED all the PSP/VITA/DS Yu gi ohs. Let me buy the game and grind for free. Pay a little more for a instant unlock or something.
