We know. How many times do we need to see this?

Yea no sh*t, we called it when they announced it.

*goes back to playing emulators that run on basically any somewhat modern PC nowadays*

I have love for Nintendo.
I grew up playing my brother's Super Nintendo. The N64 was MY first official console, back when I was just a little s**t.
But they're weird today. Barely ever discount their games. Don't know how to make a proper online system work. Can't even make proper emulation work, when people have been doing it well for decades now.

Get yourself together, Nintendo.

But they're the only console that widely supports visual novels which is why I sold off a majority of my PS4 collection to go towards more visual novels and a Switch OLED. So they do have some positives. This is the first Nintendo system I've owned since N64 back in the 90's as I've strictly been Sony since the first Playstation.

Last I checked N64 emulation was terrible. Most games have video and/or audio glitches. The cost of getting an N64 working on an HDTV with minimal input lag and a non ugly display is very high.

When Nintendo eventually fixes the issues with the expansion pack, I plan on purchasing for a year at least.

I've had no issue with emulation on my end. Every once in a while minor audio issues that typically fix themselves by just running a different.
I run my PC off of my 4k OLED with no issues, honestly.

Worth it? LMAO When you can get the emulator on PC & every single ROM and it will look so much better for free. Or a Raspberry Pi 4 or whatever SOC you like to use for a nice emulation machine.

What's great about this is that these titles were never previously discussed, they just sort of came out of left field. I loved the Extreme G series back in the day. They were just beneath Wipeout and FZero, but still really good.

If I remember the courses were good, but the gameplay just slightly beneath wipeout. Farro had the most speed but simple handling mechanics of double tap to dash slide / barge and boosters on track occasionally with the recharge health sections, but wipes out had full weapons, lock on missiles or rockets
Then with your cancel weapon pick up / trading a shield for a missile if you’re behind someone or trade the missile for the shield if you were in First, compared to extreme g which was more basic. I could be wrong tho. It was an awful long time ago.

On a similar note, I always wished starters pod racer had weapons. It would’ve been one of the best.

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!
