With Sony's social networking platform, Home, set to launch in beta Thursday, Microsoft has displayed impeccable timing in reminding everyone that it already has a robust 14 million-member online community on its Xbox 360 console.
It is no surprise that a cleaner, friendlier and better organized marketplace has spurred the sale of downloadable content. Greenberg says it's a sign that the NXE's new social features (avatars and a "party mode" that keeps players together as they move from game to game) appeal to mainstream consumers.
On average, movie downloads increased by 49% and television show downloads increased by 30% the week after the launch of the NXE. The sale of Xbox Live Arcade games tripled. And sales of "UNO"--a game released in 2006 and recently retrofitted to include Xbox's new avatars--jumped by 650% the day after the NXE launch.
Benjamin Rivers has suggested that it is “totally possible” for two of his titles — Alone With You and Home — to be ported to Nintendo Switch.
I recently published an article about beating my Steam backlog by getting organised and the first game I’ve completed with this new approach is Home.
I chose Home not because of its production values or reviews, but because, well, it’s short. I needed a game to start my new approach on the right foot and read that Home takes less than two hours to beat.
Whatever my reasons for finally installing Home, I found it to be an enjoyable yet flawed title.
Handheld Players takes a look at the PS Vita new releases in February 2018.
Theyre still the worst for customer services, got the biggest fail rate in returned and faulty consoles, overcharge for the supposedly great XBOX Live Experience (That is when the servers are not down as usual). They're masters at copying cheap and nasty alternatives from the Wii MII's and PS3 Home avatars. Basically, they're no different to a criminal behind bars for fraud and copywright infringment....mmmm sounds familiar, as am sure MS ha landed themselves in hot water before...
SONY RULES!!!!
Yep...
New clothes...
...exciting.
It's a good day to be an Xbox 360 owner...
...new clothes!!!
EDIT: No...you CAN dress your guy up...but that's not the point. The point is to feel connected to the world. You can plan gaming strategies on a virtual field, meet up for a game of bowling, race eachother in airplanes, have friends over to your virtual pad to watch a movie that's actually in your system...
Dress-up is the least of your worries in HOME.
