Not even going to bother with this game. Before it was only a maybe but now it's definitely a no for my pc

seanpitt23946d ago (Edited 946d ago )

It’s definitely a no from me on any platform… it’s just a copy and paste Ubisoft boring game that we have experienced 7 times over already.. Leaned my lesson with Valhalla and I didn’t buy watchdogs because I knew it was just going to be average

camel_toad946d ago (Edited 946d ago )

Yeh with Valhalla I saw a fair number of people say the familiar line "oh Ubisoft has breathed new life into Assassin's Creed again" - but I sure didn't enjoy the maybe 2 hours of time I gave it. And Watch Dogs Legion was absolute garbage compared to WD2.

So I expect this will stick to the typical Ubisoft pattern. It will either be incrementally better than FC5 or it will somehow take a step backwards in the fun department.

Having said that though I'm going to give it a $15 shot with Ubisoft P+. I'm sure I'll have some generic fun for at least 20 hours until it grows stale on me but either way 15 bucks won't sting.

Looks like you need a decent PC for this, it's not too much an issue if you have up to date hardware. But it seems it needs optimisation given the frame rates even on a 3080 GPU.

porkChop946d ago

Even high end PCs will have a hard time with this.

peppeaccardo946d ago

i would not say that the main issue of these games is the single thread problem and teh botteneck ... the real problem here is that more often than usual these feel like a re-skin of old games where the game mechanics are more or less the same. I plaied the serie till FC4, which I left toward the middle of the story as I got bothered.
Unfortunatelly industry is becoming stagnant with games looking too similar to those of the past.
Original ideas are only left to indie developers who risk it all with one game.
Big software houses are delivering only new chapters of old stuff .. (Assassin Creed, Far Cry, COD, FIFA, Madden, etc.)

LordoftheCritics946d ago

Yup.

Has nothing to do with performance and graphical features.

Ppl will play a fresh feeling badass looking game at 30 fps low settings if it felt like a must buy game.

Rebel_Scum946d ago

Its not as bad as it sounds. A single thread bottle neck could just be coming from one small piece of code and they can be fixed quickly once the problem is found.

Fun issues to fix too.

Pretty much every FC game on PC was like this

jonivtec946d ago

Unless your system is old..or you havent played last FC games...for my part...they were all runing correct...remember playing fc4 on a intel 5600k.

I never had any problems with every FarCry running on the PC

Played and enjoyed Far Cry, Far Cry 3 and 4 campaigns .

4 wasn’t so bad

Pagan Min was pretty entertaining

Skuletor54d ago

Yeah, 4 was good, was hard choosing which Golden Dawn member to side with, when they were both pieces of sh!t.
I've beaten all the main entries except 2 and 6, ended up uninstalling 6 to download something else instead.

Profchaos54d ago

I'd love a far cry pack with the original PC game (not the half assed port on ps360) instincts, predator even a port of far cry 2 to modern consoles back when these games had their own identity and weren't far cry 3 cut and pastel

Demetrius54d ago

Still one of my most favorite franchises along with assassins creed

banger8854d ago (Edited 54d ago )

Same here, I don't know why these games get so much hate. I've thoroughly enjoyed every single one of them, with only a couple of exceptions. I wish they'd hurry up and announce Far Cry 7. The only thing I'm concerned about is the rumoured time limit.

Bethesda makes the most consistently stupid NPCs, like really bad... yet I still can't help but love playing their games. Guilty pleasure, I guess. *sigh* 😩

Flawlessmic278d ago

How did redfall not make the cut.

anast277d ago (Edited 277d ago )

Every Bethesda game and Every Halo game. This list needed to have Cyberpunk somewhere.
