Siliconera: An Onechanbara Interview

D3 Publisher is an interesting company. In Japan they have a healthy supply of budget and often offbeat games, but in North America the general public is more likely to associate them with Naruto or Ben 10 instead of Earth Defense Force 2017. Next year D3 will embrace their roots and bring the Onechanbara, perhaps their most well known "Simple Series" series, outside of Japan. Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers for the Wii and Onechanbara: Bikini Samurai Squad for the Xbox 360 are coming out early next year.

To find out more about D3 Publisher's plans for the Onechanbara series Siliconera spoke with Oohashi Toshiro from D3 Japan's Consumer Business Division. Toshiro-san is part of the team that works directly Tamsoft who are the developers of the Onechanbara games.

This is the kind of game that comes out, gets overlooked, and is later considered a collectors item for some reason or another! I am curious to how much this game will sell.

Well, i'll be getting it! I like when odd ball games like this come out. It reminds me of how gaming used to be... You know... when all types of different ideas were embraced and not just what the popular trend is...

"The entire game is using the same voices in the original, however so that US gamers can get the full experience, we have included English subtitles to follow along. "

yayayayay ^_^!! Though meh, wish the Wii would get some kind of pack [similar to RockBand2] but I suppose since the graphics have been enhanced a bit and the language is still in Japanese. Can't complain to much :3.

[edit]
Just saw the release date on gamestop [Hope it's right o_o], if so just 6 days before my B-Day :D

Alex S. from Link-Cable writes: "Its summertime, and that means it’s the perfect time to hit the beach or pool and escape the heat for a while, and while real people enjoy heading down to the local watering hole, did you know video game characters enjoy a nice dip too? Its true! So in honor of summer we decided to take a look (but not for too long) at the top 10 best swimsuits in gaming. Now it would be way too easy to only include a whole bunch of pictures of ladies in bikinis on this list, so we decided to let everyone in on the fun and split this list equally between men and women. So without further ado, here are the best swimsuits in video gaming!"
