Crappy move, pay 30 dlc and get better health and ammo once a day. People who may have a hard time with this game shouldn't have to pay $30 to get some help. WTF.
Nintendo has become pretty greedy lately with limited Digital Games like the 3d mario games, the other Amiibo for Zelda, let alone lazy port for $60 bucks. Just feels like they are ripping us off.
I actually like the Amiibos for this and wanted to purchase them regardless. It was kind of cool in Mario Mario they’d correspond with different sprites. But this bonus is both unimaginative and greedy.
So basically unlocks easy mode.
It is going to work the same way it worked in Samus Returns on 3DS and likely the Samus Returns amiibos will also give you the same bonus, same is probably true with any samus related amiibo.
The way it worked in Samus returns is if you scanned the amiibo once, it unlocked a special reserve tank, that in the case of of ammo depletion or health, the reserve tank will refill a portion again. The reserve tank automatically regens in about a day and does not require subsequent amiibo scans like in BOTW amiibos.
