The Messenger was fantastic and one or the best retro inspired indie games I have ever played. Finished the game and the dlc but still brought it because I know I’ll be replaying it at some point.

Monster Hunter has been on gamepass for a long time, I’m surprised it didn’t leave sooner.

I kept glossing over the messenger. I think I’ll download it today and give it a try

I played around 20-30 minutes and wasn’t sold on the game but a friend advised me to push forwards. I’m glad I did because the game ended up being a 10/10 for me. The music, gameplay and art style is perfect but there’s also a lot more too the game but It’s best experienced without spoilers.

Anyone who hasn't played Outer Wilds needs to give it a go.

Yes if they like it they will buy it captain obvious. The games don’t go on there forever and we they come off they get a discount. Just having tried the game and enjoyed it while it was on there increases the chance of. A person buying a game that they put time in on. In my case it Vampyr.

Or play it as part of their game pass subscription while it's still there? What a weird suggestion - Wait for it to be off the service before you decide to pay to try it.

It was a very interesting game that I played for two hours. If you can handle the time sync, I say go for it. It's No Man Sky meets Groundhog Day (or some space game meets GHD)

It was my biggest surprise last year. Got hooked on the mystery of what happened to the old alien race.

Out of the Park Baseball 21
Mistover
Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite
The Messenger
Battle Chasers: Nightwar
Obviously, Microsoft has several new games that they will be adding to the service as well. You can expect to hear another update on this soon.

Personally, none of these are games that I play. Monster Hunter was a bit surprising, but I guess 2 years is a good run.

I never got around to mass effect - I’m skeptical that it would hold up if I were to try it now

Furesis24d ago

I would say it does. The combat is a bit shit for todays standards but everything else is great.

anast24d ago

It's worth a play through today.

A Late Look: Monster Hunter: World

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "While it was a mixed pleasure overall - at times exhilarating, at others agonizing - I would have to say I enjoyed my time with Monster Hunter: World and found it to be surprisingly addicting. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that I was surprised by how little had changed from previous titles, given how this particular entry took the series to unheard levels of popularity, but while it retains both positives and negatives from them, at the very least it’s a stellar-looking game that brings more freedom to the hunt than any of its predecessors (Monster Hunter Rise could possibly be a different story, but that, my friends, is a game for another article)."
