If you like your WWII action to be highly realistic, developer 1C Company and publisher Battlefront.com look like they will have the game for you. Today Battlefront.com released 16 new screenshots from the upcoming RTS sequel Theatre of War 2. The shots show off some of the details visuals in the game including use of shadows and destructible enviroments.
Set during the North Africa theater of operations in 1943, Theatre of War 2 is aiming to be very accurate in its depictions of weapons and vehicles as players can command the Axis forces or the combined US-British armies. Look for over 40 different vehicles, new units, improved graphics and soldier AI and other additions and improvements. Theatre of War 2 still has a scheduled release date for the end of 2009. Battlefront.com will release the game via mail order and direct download only.
