Chivalry 2 Open Beta Won’t Require PS Plus, But Xbox Will Require Gold Membership Confirmed

Tripwire has confirmed that the Chivalry 2 open beta won't require an active PlayStation Plus membership for players to participate, though it will require an active XBL Gold subscription for Xbox One, and Xbox Series X gamers.

Tbh, while I knew about f2p and such. I actually didn't think they did it on betas for some reason

They specifically had a list of F2P games that don't require gold now. Not all games. A specific list. It's better than nothing, but it's not the same. I don't think they're ready to go all in.

Having said that, at least XBL does cloud saves for free and unlimited.

Take the good, take the bad. Both companies have pros and cons. This is still a con of XBL.

Given how MS has made F2P games not require an XBL Gold membership, some (like me), assumed betas won't require it either. Guess we can't count on that. :(
