Financial consultant gets job on how to decrease cost or increase revenue and they will look at everything that can be monetised and suggest it. Management needs to approve. Just because you don't use micro transaction doesn't mean it doesn't affect how developers make the game. Middle earth shadow for war developed with micro transaction in mind and once they removed it again became so much more fun and joy to play. Micro transaction ring with them extra grind

Modern day gaming is so sh*t, Game prices are increasing and they still want to sell 20 different versions of the same game with different extras. Then even after you might have bought the £100+ version of the game, 6 months later they release even more content that they want you to buy to play.

The gaming industry is nothing but greed filled with as big dopamine hits as they can give you to keep you coming back.

I recently bought an N64 and no joke it's the most fun I've had in gaming for a very long time, Part of that is due to being able to unlock new things in-game without having to open up my wallet.
