The remaster of a cult favourite 2010 PS3 game has topped the UK retail charts this week. Nier Replicant ver.1.22474487139 tops the charts, knocking FIFA 21 down to No.2. The last Nier game that was released came in March 2017 in the form of the acclaimed Nier Automata. This remake sold 50% fewer copies than Automata. 89% of sales were on PS4 and 11% on Xbox One. Digital sales are not included.
Also included are Star Ocean The Divine Force, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, Odin Sphere Leifthrasir, Unpacking.
Hot damn those are some high quality games right there. I've been meaning to give 13 Sentinels a go, just haven't had the time to get around to it.
I had it on my wishlist waiting for a Discount, when I knew I would be close to playing it, so much in my backlog already, might as well try it now.

The story is so great especially if you don't know what's going on, When i played it I kept thinking I bet this is "it" no I bet that's "it" no it's got to be this, but "it" wasn't those things in the end.
It's Japanese story telling style at it's finest, lead you along and let you wonder what is actually going on really keeping you engaged to figure out the mystery.
The RTS gameplay I really enjoyed too, my only regret was that there wasn't even more of it!
Probably why they hiked the price, so there could be better quality games and less shovelware.
It's one of the best story ever made in recent years, there's a reason it was nominated the best narrative in 2020's TGA.
I heard 13 Sentinels has a superb story, gotto try it at one point.
I can vouch for Nier Replicant, it has one of the coolest endings I have experience in a game. Took me a while to complete the game fully, but man, it was more than worth it in the end.
13 Sentinels is a must play if you haven't. Like, I can't praise enough what an awesome story and set of characters that game has.

Yeah, they really need to pull it together for a new banger. It's all been games at the hand of some publishers demand, licensed games, pulled in to work on games that aren't theirs, etc. Just want 1 new game from them that is wholly their idea and execution.

You are straight up HIGH, my dude... You clearly never played this game. There's barely any "sex appeal" in this aside from one or two easter eggs. Blowing yourself up, or angling the camera the right way. This is coming from someone that really dislikes when developers use sex appeal to sell games. It is first and foremost an existential experience. Brilliantly portraying how the psyche changes when faced with your own mortality. It is a masterclass in storytelling. I hate when people look at this on the surface and think it's just some sexual fan service game...
The thematically grim tone, the story, the music, the constantly changing gameplay systems and the dynamic camera angles are what sets this apart from any other game. It replaced Chrono Trigger as my favorite game of all time. I've been gaming since Bionic Command on NES. Which gives me a very broad knowledge of gaming through the decades. So, please... If you don't have ANY knowledge on the subject you're talking about. Just don't talk about it. Because you have no right to speak on a game you obviously haven't played.

It was a fun game with a beautiful OST and salient narrative.
I recommend getting it on anything BUT the Switch if possible. The Switch version is a very cut-down port as usual.
I prefer my Switch OLED for most games and all-ages visual novels. I have a PS3 and PS4 as well. Plan on getting The Callisto Protocol for my PS4. I also have a laptop but I only use it for eroge.
Love to hear it! Square-Enix needs to see that this series is worth investing into! It's been great getting back to this, since I never got past 8-10 hours in the original. I do kind of miss old man Nier though, even if he was never supposed to exist lol. It would be funny if they made him DLC down the line.

Drakengard remake/remasters pls it’s time! Obviously I’d love new IP too but they are already working on a smaller game right now so Drakengard first until that smaller game is done .
Happy for Yoko and Saito . Nier is a classic and I’m happy PS gamers support good games , it deserved it the first time really
Is this the remake for the nier that was released on ps3/xbox 360? Because that nier had a different main character than this remake
