Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection Gets New Trailer Showing Characters in Action

Today Koei Tecmo released a new trailer of its upcoming Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection focusing on showing the characters in action.

Seeing this makes me long for a Dead or Alive master collection. Combining all the games and letting you choose to use any character model or outfit in any combination with all the stages throughout the games run.

Why does it matter? It literally has no bearings on the gameplay on it being blood or a soul after you chop a body in half in 1 swipe

Some people enjoyed the violence. It's no different than when people complained about Nintendo censoring Fatalities in MK1 and Sega having a blood code.

Ninja Gaiden was always visceral and bloody. That was a signature of the modern series, so it's pretty lame when it gets censored. I think complaining about censorship is valid. Had the game always been designed with purple myst nobody would be whining about it being censored.

Actually the blood and dismemberment made a huge impact on the feel of the gameplay. Ninja Gaiden 2 felt so raw and visceral that Sigma couldn't replicate.

Ninja Gaiden 2 still exist, they already said this collection is based on code they had. They didn’t have 2s code anymore and it would’ve cost more to reverse engineer it versus releasing this version.

Aside from the blood sigma 2 has more content across the board compared to 2 and if you buy it on Xbox at least you have EVERY version for modern standards.

Complaining about the blood when you have a reason WHY it’s not there is just beating a horse that doesn’t even exist anymore. Get over it and actually use your options you have geez.

But the version you hate DOES exist. This wasn’t a last minute decision they just through in the collection. It’s been over a decade the game existed. Right along with the 360 version.

If you want that version at 4K and better performance buy it on Xbox, simple. Otherwise they are releasing the version they can and making it as best they can for each available platform. If you don’t want it... DONT BUY IT. But let’s not act like it’s some attempt at censorship when it never was.

It was a design choice and they stuck with it. Calling it anything else is bullshit.

@Lex - Xbox 360's NG2 had so many enemies and dismemberment that the blood splatter and body parts affected visibility of the enemies still alive. The werewolf-like enemies are so difficult when they as a horde start to throw the limbs of their brothers at you.

Tacoboto, and yet sigma added more weapons, characters and bosses expanding the story as well. And if I recall there was an offset for fewer enemies but they had a bit more life.

The difference is substantial but in favor of sigma 2. If take more characters, weapons and bosses any day. But reality is I still can play vanilla 2 on my series X or even my 360 if it really mattered to me.
