The Evil Within and More Bethesda Games Coming To Game Pass

The Evil Within will be one of the many games that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass. A listing for the Windows version is now up on the Microsoft Store.

It is safe to say that every Bethesda game dating all the way back to gen 7 will end up on gamepass by the end of summer. This aquisition was a win before new games even got release dates.

The Evil Within series will probably be the kind of game to feature on some top 10 hidden gems or top 10 best games that no one played.
If Gamepass can help the game get some exposure and traction thus allowing an Evil Within 3 then hurray!

It's been on PS Now for months. Gamepass is an example of great marketing. Because it advertises day one exclusives, (despite having next to no exclusives) people like to act like it's head and shoulders over PS Now.

Was your best at downplaying gamepass really, and I'm paraphrasing here, "uhm uhm uhm.... well PS Now has the Evil Within when gamepass didn't so PS Now is either just as good, or better!!!!!"?
Virtually everything under their umbrella is going to be on gamepass going forward, now that the Zenimax acquisition is official. That's a lot of studios, and a lot of great releases. Not to mention these new teams are all working on new projects.
I see why you're so high and mighty when it comes to exclusives though, with PS5 having a whole remake of Dark Souls from the PS3, a glorified tech demo that's fun for an hour or two, and Bugsnax which, while good, is barely even mentioned already.
Where do you even find time to post with all of that content on offer?

That's just my opinion though. At the same time, as gamepass is approaching 20 million subscriptions in just a few years, PS Now is holding on to a healthy 2% of Sony's player base, despite including PS5, PS4, PS3, and the Vita. I guess even Sony fans aren't that big on PS Now either. *shrug*

Okay, and MS can say very similar numbers. They have double that even in active accounts, meaning the number can actually be a good amount higher. I was speaking on both companies premium service. Not the one tied into access to online, which I find to be somewhat of a captive market.
That should have been obvious though. Try to keep up.

My apologies for forgetting about the PS2. Not sure how I could overlook the massive amount of people blowing dust off of their PS2 to access PS Now. 12? Maybe 13 people even?! Really though, that just adds one more platform to contribute to a rather poor number of subs for PS Now.

Fair enough. Until then, I can only go by the information had, and it simply states gamepass sees roughly 10x the subscriber base of PS Now, despite being out little longer than half the amount of time Now has, and on a platform with a smaller install base than that of Sony. There lies my point. I'm simply talking services and numbers.

As for games, I'm not even going to argue this point. Tastes vary, but you acting like MS has nothing announced is highly disingenuous. We already know about Rare's Everwild, the Perfect Dark reboot, Fable Reboot, Halo Infinite, Obsidian's Avowed. We know that InXile are hiring on more devs for an unannounced "AAA" rpg. That's just a small number of devs under the MS umbrella.
The PS5 list you gave me, as far as I'm concerned, really isn't impressive. My PS5 is literally just an upgraded PS4 to me right now. I have yet to actually buy a game for the thing.

The conversation is about the subscription services, for games. So Gamepass vs PSNOW, and yet you throw in some numbers from a sub that you need to play online?

You need to compare PS+ to xbox live gold which as of April 2020 (i know, a year ago before Series X launch as well) the number was at 90 million monthly active users.

Xbox live gold - 90 million (as of a year ago so may be more or less)

PSNOW = 2.2 million out of :-

PS4 - 115 million consoles
PS5 - around 6 million so far?

2% is 2.42 million, so less than 2% of current PlayStation consoles out there have a PSNOW subscription tied to it.

Gamepass = 18 million out of :-

Xbox one - 50 million
Xbox Series S/X - around 4 million?

1% is 540,000
so 33% of current xbox consoles out there, have a gamepass subscription tied to it. (probably a bit less as this number will include gamepass for pc)

All this with a massively smaller install base.
