From Polygon: "The excellent remake of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater and its sequel came out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC last year, but the game is heading to a few new platforms soon. On Monday, the skateboarding legend himself tweeted a few cryptic messages about new versions of the Pro Skater remake in the near future, and on Tuesday, Activision officially announced that the game is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
Hawk’s original tweets were mostly centered around Activision’s upcoming release of Crash Bandicoot 4 on Switch. Hawk said he was jealous of Crash’s new platform and appealed for a little help from the orange bandicoot to get Pro Skater 1 and 2 on new platforms as well. Hawk’s tweet got replies from all kinds of brand accounts, including the Crash Bandicoot account, Activision, and even Nintendo of America, despite the fact that the new versions of the game hadn’t been announced quite yet. This was clearly part of the marketing campaign building to the official announcement."
The future of gaming could be bright if we just look to the past. Let's delve into the reasons why history isn't best left forgotten.

We are not the same people we were when we first played Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, but Ryan from Cultured Vultures offers an essay on why that's a good thing.
Drop back in with the most iconic skateboarding games ever made.
"The upgrade offer is not available with physical versions of the game on Xbox One."
Wow isn't my collector's edition so cool?
Imagine spending $10 to play a game you already own but with a little bit better settings.
Imagine if this came over to the PC space. "Use DLSS and RTX features for only $9.99"
....Oh god let's not give them any ideas
Noice
PS5 and XSX should be able to easily run this game at dynamic 4K@120fps
Free with the deluxe is better than no free upgrade.
I actually wanted to play the sinking city again until I realized the upgrade wasn’t free. Apparently it’s out of their hands because the different versions have different publishers or something along those lines. It still sucks and these things should be free. I was pissed about control because I had the PS4 version and season pass but it didn’t qualify for an upgrade. They remedied this by making it a monthly plus game. Hopefully sinking city gets this sometime soon.
