PSU: More so than ever before, Nioh is a great choice for players who have since exhausted the superb Demon's Souls. Sure enough, even in its remastered form, Nioh cannot hope to match the visual magic that developer Bluepoint Games performed with From Software's opus, but in every other way that counts Nioh Remastered is a tremendous action RPG that holds up strongly even today.

There is a decent fan base for the Nioh games, but still think they are criminally overlooked and under appreciated.
I just bought the PS5 collection to replay them again with all their DLC, a sweet collection for my games shelf for sure.
Yea, those gardens haven't been plowed in over 10 years now though. Imagine if they cultivated it, let it grow again.
originally it wasn't going to be included because of their take on Samus' character. But the gameplay's actually not bad.
Honestly, I don't know if we can even blame them for that take. Nintendo's Sakamoto was credited as the writer and from what we learned later with the Retro Studios interviews for the Prime series, Nintendo apparently never saw Samus as this stoic badass that most of the west imagined her as. Going as far as describing her as "motherly".

I'm so happy to hear that because that means they will continue developing amazing games like that.
Nioh is such a great game. I love the series.

I disagree completely. Game is gorgeous in addition to being packed with content and snare drum tight gameplay. Amazing series.
Considering I showed the 10ft shadow draw distance, 240p shadows, poor lighting engine at work, and low level of detail (moreso in Nioh 1), I'm not entirely sure what game you were looking at lol... I didn't have enough time to even show the object pop-in in Nioh 2, favoring the time towards talking about the story!
