VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "Overall, there is some fun to be had in Re:Verse, and it is probably the best heavily shooting-based Resident Evil spin-off that Capcom’s made (excluding mercenaries mode from prior titles), but that isn’t a very high bar to clear. There needs to be a lot of work done with general polish and I’m still not convinced that the movement of standard RE titles will ever translate over cleanly to a PvP format, but at least it might be worth playing around with for a bit as a distraction after you get tired of playing Resident Evil Village when it drops."
VGChartz's Paul Broussard: "I guess the saving grace in all of this is that Resident Evil Re:Verse is free so long as you own Resident Evil Village, but does that really count as a point in its favor when this is such a bland, uninteresting offering to begin with? If you already own Village, I guess this might be worth a download for the 30 or so minutes of entertainment it can provide before things get old, but you’re not missing much if you don’t. There are better games available for free anyway, and most of them won’t make you wait two years before inevitable disappointment."
Balance issues, a lack of content, and aggressive monetization get in the way of good ideas.
From Asad "Resident Evil Re: Verse marks another failure for Capcom in the PvP category, and will soon take its place in the forgotten heap alongside Umbrella Corps."
Capcom seriously needs to stop. Co-op is the only MP experience that RE needs and more specifically approach it as you did for Outbreak. That was the most Genius way to approach online MP for an RE game. Why the hell they can’t figure this out is seriously beyond me.
I’m a stupid RE fanboy so I gave this a try. It’s just your typical competitive MP chaotic gaming experience. Everyone running around trying to off each other as many times as they can before the time limit is up. I got bored immediately and it only cycles between 2 maps with 1 mode.
This is what happens when you have ''Free-to-play' 9; Multiplayer games. I worry that might be the case for TLOU Factions 2....... I am very concerned but also very hyped for it. I will be watching ND
They need to stop doing these tacked on, awful, arcadey MP experiences. Just give us an Outbreak remake bundle and ship it with a remake of RE CV. It’ll sell like hot cakes.
Focus on coop, not competitive.
what they need to do is bring back operation racoon city that was a fun multiplayer.
Do you really have to ask?
