LOL! You know they're going to do it...

JUST DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

zsquaresoff1220d ago

To not be an xbone exclusive. It’ll get the proper respect on Sony platforms.

Shiken1219d ago

What a stupid thing to say. It will get proper respect on any platform. If a MS developer (Bwthesda) makes the game and it ends up exclusive to XBox, how is that any different from Sony paying for the new Spiderman to be exclusive (has always been multiplat before then).

I get it, you want everything on your platform. But please try not to be hypocritical.

Knightofelemia1219d ago (Edited 1219d ago )

Mickey Mouse might state the game might be multiplatform and Bethesda just builds the game for both systems. Unless Bethesda signs a piece of paper stating the game is an Xbox exclusive and Mickey Mouse gives the thumbs up to that idea.

Knightofelemia1219d ago (Edited 1219d ago )

As for Spiderman Sony owns the film rights to him when Marvel was going broke before Mickey Mouse bought up Marvel. Sony and Marvel worked out a deal so Sony could have the game rights and so Spiderman could appear in the MCU with the Avengers. I scratch your back you scratch my back type of deal.

DJStotty1218d ago

"To not be an xbone exclusive."

This game will not be on xbox one.

BLizardXD1220d ago (Edited 1220d ago )

"What We Want from Indiana Jones"

have the same movie enthusiasm.
a great production budget with quality animations.
a seal of quality in terms of mechanics and gameplay. (no glitches)

NeoGamer2321219d ago

I just want a really good story and game!

Ninver1218d ago

That's asking for too much nowadays it seems smh

ChrisW1218d ago

In other words, a choose your own adventure click style game?

BiofourceGun1220d ago (Edited 1220d ago )

gaminginstincts.com -
"GAMEPLAY"
"One of the first remarks made about this game is its comparison to the Uncharted and Tomb Raider series."

do we even know if the game will even play like these games? or will it be a first person shooter?

edit
quote - "Bethesda announced last week that MachineGames, the team behind the Wolfenstein series, will be working on a new game based in the world of Indiana Jones. "

Wolfenstein is a first person shooter with no puzzles or platforming.

LeeFender1219d ago (Edited 1219d ago )

That's like saying that Guerilla Games who made Killzone and that Horizon Zero Dawn is also a an FPS game. Are you aware that developers are able to create genres regardless of their previous games? Crazy concept right?

Playgrounds Games who made Forza Horizon 1-4 will be making Fable. So yes MachineGames can easily go from FPS to Third Person.

CrimsonWing691219d ago

You do realize dev studios can make more than one genre of a game, right?

fonduktoe1219d ago

This is such a dumb statement I don't even know what to say.

ChrisW1218d ago

It's simple... Say that Laura Croft and Nathan Drake have it covered! Oh, and nostalgia won't even come close to working when compared to the aforementioned game characters!!!

MadLad1218d ago (Edited 1218d ago )

I was going to say the same thing as LeeFender

Another example; Playground games, a studio who is only known for Forza Horizon, is working on freaking Fable.

You realize creatives can go out of their comfort zone and actually make a solid product, yes?

Nd1vhu1216d ago

I mean we don't know enough about the new Fable to say for sure it won't include BMWs and Audis tearing up the streets of Albion so...

Can we please have Harrison Ford do the VA or at least someone who sounds just like him? If we have some try hard sounding dude it’s going to take me out of it.

Indiana Jones game name revealed? (And it’s… not great)

Bethesda’s new Indiana Jones game may have had its title revealed early ahead of the Xbox Developer Direct, and it’s surprisingly underwhelming.

Yeah but it's Indiana Jones, they've always had titles which sound so...adventurous. The name which makes you sound like you're going on a quest yourself.

This just sounds generic

Even if it was called "Indiana Jones and the Great ANCIENT Circle" sounds at least a tiny bit better.

Could be worse could be
Indiana Jones and lost pills 🤷🏿

its not really that funny...

its a name with zero context. it could have an explanation, or its a temporary name. of course its the internet so we must overreact.

FPSRUSSIA133d ago

the name doesn't matter as much as the game play will it be a third person like uncharted or tomb raider ill have to wait and see.

crazyCoconuts133d ago

I'm guessing Wolfenstein would be the template in terms of mechanics and such, given the developers, but that's a guess.

Rockstar133d ago

I hope you're wrong but I guess we'll see...

LoLCryBabyGamers133d ago

If i was a betting man this game will be hot trash.

Concertoine133d ago (Edited 133d ago )

Why? Machine Games have a good rep. Last Wolfenstein sucked but pretty sure that was Arkane.

I predict the game will be decent but unsuccessful - Indiana Jones’ last movie flopped and the gaming demographic doesn’t seem very interested in it either going by sales of other Indy games

EvertonFC133d ago

I'll be happy with either 1st person or 3rd but I'm leaning twds 1st person

^not the game title but the article

GamerRN133d ago (Edited 133d ago )

It's an Xbox game, they will do anything to downplay the game and create negativity surrounding it. Attack the title, the graphics, the developer, and just vl chip away at it so people look down on it. It's been the way Sony has been doing things for the last few years. And the fanboys help by perpetuating it.

kenpachi133d ago

They left a word out starts with a "J" ends with "K" and has two other letters in-between.

I want Bethesda to use the best Indiana Jones movie as a blueprint

With Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny hitting theatres soon, I need Bethesda to use the best Indy movie as a foundation for its Xbox Indiana Jones game.

I hope they do their own thing and don’t try and base it on the movie too much with a Ford look alike

Sonic1881334d ago (Edited 334d ago )

Ain't this game supposed to be in first person? I remember hearing about that. I think it should be in third person

4Sh0w334d ago

Uhm not that Uncharted franchise is bad or anything, it's actually one my favorite on ps but I kinda want IJ game to be as different from Uncharted as possible because #1I love fresh new ideas & creativity #2 I don't want to hear for 3,4 yrs "it's just a Uncharted copy cat", I already know just by game type it may have alot of similarities...or am I just overthinking this one?

Sonic1881334d ago

I'm not hearing people say Tomb raider being a copycat or vice versa Uncharted being a copycat 🤔 I enjoyed Uncharted and Tomb raider and felt like they were different in their own way

4Sh0w334d ago

Yeah, that makes sense.

jznrpg334d ago (Edited 334d ago )

Story isn’t hard there is a lot to go off of. Combat and traversal is where I’m not confident . Bethesda as a whole has had poor combat.

Indiana Jones mainly uses a whip and a pistol so it will be interesting to see how they make the AI work with that, skills etc.

I’m old so this IP and grew up with the first movies and they have a lot of potential .

I wish it was in a better studios hands really but maybe they deliver but I won’t be sold (or not) until it’s actually shown.

DOMination-334d ago

Good job Bethesda Game Studios aren't making the game then.

MachineGames are developing it as far as I know. And their combat systems have broadly acknowledged as being rather good?

Seems like a weird thing to worry about. For me, MachineGames are known for making fast paced action shooters. Even then, Wolfenstein had a half decent campaign, even if it wasn't particularly deep. Lets see if their writing can keep up with their gameplay.

Bathyj334d ago

Well there's where I'm worried. Indiana Jones should not be a shooter. He does very little shooting. I don't know what the gameplay loop is going to be other than exploring and puzzles. Maybe more melee. I don't want it to be just at uncharted clone either.

GhostScholar333d ago (Edited 333d ago )

I agree that combat has been Bethesda’s weak point, but the gunplay has improved drastically from the first gameplay reveal to the last xbox showcase. I am pretty sure id or another studio may have came in and helped out with it. That was my biggest takeaway from the showcase. Gun play looks the best it ever has for a Bethesda game.

anast334d ago

That would be Temple of Doom, but it doesn't matter because Bethesda games haven't been solid in more than 30 years.

GhostScholar334d ago

I get that you don’t even believe that yourself, but come on man. Oblivion, Skyrim, fallout, riiigghhht those games were horrible

--Onilink--334d ago

Not to mention that its not even Bethesda making the game, its MachineGames, who made the recent Wolfenstein games which were great.
By his logic, even Dishonored, Prey, Doom, Hi Fi Rush, etc havent been solid either.

Probably not even worth replying to him…

anast333d ago (Edited 333d ago )

Morrowind was the last game they made that could be considered a solid game. Last time I checked HiFi Rush had the "same" player count as Gollum

Sonic1881539d ago

Still in the early stages. We won't get a reveal until two more years probably 😂

rlow1539d ago

I wish they would make another Riddick, Butchers Bay was the best.

hotnickles539d ago

You know what games I want way more than Indiana Jones? The darkness and Riddick.

Snookies12539d ago (Edited 539d ago )

Haha, completely agree... But, the fact that he is involved in this is a definitely a positive sign! Could actually be a good game!

hotnickles538d ago

You might be right. Indiana Jones will never do Jackie or Riddick stuff though. The darkness was brutal on the eyes and ears lol.

Leeroyw539d ago

The Darkness was an underrated gem. Fantastic lore and Mike patton from Faith No More voicing the darkness is up there with the great video game voice overs imo.
