The Days of the Traditional Nintendo Direct are Over, and that's OK

Jacob S. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "The Nintendo Direct’s have become synonymous with video game enthusiasts from around the globe and have become an integrable part of how the gaming giant goes about to show off their next big titles. The bevy of new announcements and updates for almost every upcoming Nintendo project was always something to look forward to and helped differentiate Nintendo from its competitors in a very unique and “Nintendo” type of way. Over the course of the last year or so, we’ve seen a shift in focus from Nintendo themselves and try to change the way they go about presenting their latest entries to its audience and while we don’t expect them to cancel their short video presentations outright, we do believe that the days of the traditional Nintendo Direct’s are long behind us."
